This very good information, because my Parents are in this same position and seek help from this agency and gotten no where because they were asking for receipt or prove of purchase. Which after decades got loss or damage. So this would be great for Clarendon.
3 years later..how is this great plan working? Do your need to contact them and schedule a visit? Surely they don’t go door to door and try to talk to every single person in every parish!
Sometimes these areas are so large, a little community in itself. Once these titles are issued, would the government now issue legal water and light into these areas? Considering that persons are living on these lands.
@@homeandawayjamaica thanks. I have just sent you the email. Having listened to the NLA representative, can Jamaicans proactively engage them on Systemic Adjudication Areas which are not presently part of their pilot project, in the limited areas? I have emailed them about properties in Hanover that we were just about to have Surveyors start through Geoland, but since I heard of this, we would love to proceed expeditiously via this procedure. What are your thoughts?
Obviously the system does not work. Because those oversea are not connected. You should link these check to tax records etc. Those who paying or contributing to the up keep of the properties etc.

I would like to know why does it take so long to received a register title. A family member applied for his title and twenty years later no title he passed away two years now. I'm also in the same situation and still waiting for a Judication hearing to obtained my title. Because the lawyer that did my paper work when I purchase the land did not submit the documents(purchase and sale) to the Kingston branch office. So all I have is the surveyor document and the purchase and sale. I was young at the time but I remember asking the seller how do I go about paying my taxes in my own name and he turned to me and said don't worry he will pay the taxes. I turn to the seller and said I would like to pay my taxes by myself. That's when he told me he would have to get me sworn in at the tax collectors office which we did that' why the taxes have been paying in my name for over 42 years. The seller passed away for a number of years now and I still have no title. I'm going through the NLA but I'm so curious as to how the department function and what's the turnaround on some one getting their title.
The general feedback is that the turnaround is quite long, too long. Roughly a year in some cases. However, the NLA are currently working on significantly reducing the time taken to obtain a land title.
Let me also say that this is an excellent initiative because the process of owning a land is very expensive.
Thank you for this informative interview!
It’s a pleasure... feel free to contact us to schedule a consultation

Correct the owner can then apply to the utility companies directly to request new services.
