- Installing fresh adjustable upper control arms from Z1 Motorsports on the 350z. Install will essentially be the same for 370z, G37, Q50 and G35. This video is not a complete "How To." It simply shows a few of the key steps in the process. Follow the instructions on the Z1 website and attempt this install at your own risk.

Man I hope you’re still enjoying making videos because I don’t want you to stop you are one of my go tos for Nissan/infiniti
Lots of videos to come man. I appreciate the kind words!
Did you have to remove the springs/shocks/struts for this? And what makes these harder to adjust
the pro left hand shifter lol. Really Digging the gold calipers
Thanks!
Great content there on the Nissan platform.
Those look like spherical joints on the new FUCA. How was the NVH as compare to stock? I'm thinking of going with either Z1 or SPL spherical joints on my Z, if the NVH increase wouldn't be too bad.
Nvh wasn’t bad at all. The previous ball joints were in such rough shape that anything would have been better. No strange noises or anything from the new ones!
@@SpeedCultureStudios Thanks, that's good to know.
so 370z suspension parts fit q60/q50?
Sorry to hear that
😂
i have stock uppers and i’m running 45s tires up front and the cotter pin is eating up my tires lol is this a good fix ?bi run fatter tires up front less stress to my bussing etc i don’t wanna run a lower profile
Why is the cotter pin eating your tires?
@@SpeedCultureStudiosthe space between the upper control arms and the tire (235 45 19 ) is soooo tight it rubs on cotter pin
god your fitment looks like butter.
Thanks! Pretty well dialed at the moment
Just installed some god speed control arms seeing this made me 😬
They may hold up for you
Need to get you some air tools
I have them. Wasn’t really any need here.
How do I avoid what people call camber , I don’t want my wheels tilted
Adjustable control arms are the best way, particularly if you lower the car significantly, which will naturally pull the wheels in. You can counter that with adjustable control arms
@@SpeedCultureStudios I probably sound really slow when I ask this but how exactly do you know how you have them set to where the wheels are even ? By adjusting and putting the wheel off and on until you can tell they are even ?
@@Gofast8954 I describe the process in the video. You can measure them in comparison to your current setup which will give you a good starting point. You can adjust from there. Ultimately though you want to get an alignment so they are adjusted precisely.
oh BTW when are you going to do the headliner on the Q50?
The Q50 headliner is pretty complex actually 😂 Not sure if it’s a job I’ll take on
@@SpeedCultureStudios Believe me, it's a complete pain in the ass, but worth it in the end. It took me one weekend. that includes taking the headliner out of the car, cleaning it, having it dry then cover it with the black suede. Of course, you have to get the other matching acessories, or it will just look odd.
Good ol Godspeed 😂
Yep…
Y y’all always don’t show your full process you need this dwn or go bck and edit your video you didn’t show how you even took the strut off jus pushed it out the way
Some things are relatively simple and don’t need to be shown in full detail. You can see where the studs go up into the strut tower bucket and you can see daylight through the hole. And if you are looking under the hood, you can very clearly see where the strut is mounted. Looks essentially the same on a vast majority of every car. Making videos is a tough thing-if you show too much people complain it’s too long. If you don’t show a couple of small items, people complain that something was missed. This is a pretty simple job. I don’t think you’ll have any trouble
Overstood but that still dnt show me how you took dat strut out n yeah I see it but when I took the bolts out it still want move, but u right doe cause I had changed my Valve body and I did one thing wrng n it den wrk but I fixed it cause sun one showed me not certain things the people who want it the short way ain’t hme never get far you have to take yo time but I will never no if ion get the proper training or sumone to show me like you I would like the long way but i appreciate it
If u don’t know how to remove the strut , then maybe u shouldn’t do this and have someone else do it .. just saying
I’m jus saying I did it but still show your wrk all I’m saying Homie
I never went to school jus watching video but I changed mine I gotta Infiniti q70 but yeah ion need nobdy to do nun fah me but make da video fah me to learn the right way doe not no garbage video skipping threw wrk
I got a free RX7 so I've been toying around with selling my G37. I will miss Z1, that's for sure. I may end up getting into Z1offroad though.
Not a bad idea! Love the off-road side too
