@sandip bera, That's great to know :-) Few days back, I collected 2 more colors too - Off white and light Pink. As they are quite new plant, didn't add in the video. Thank you for watching and for the feedback :-)
sir is it safe to add cocopeat in potting mix because many gardeners suggest not to use cocopeat because after some time it catches fungus which can kill the plant....
@Digvijay Singh, Obviously it's safe and have been using it from many more years, no any issue. Actually, it's good to use as the Cocopeat gets composted over time and this way, provides some value to the soil. In fact, many other gardeners prepare soilless media by using Cocopeat. Good luck and sir is not required actually :-)
I use cocopeat and perlite for soilless base on, to avoid rot (i add charcoal bits at bottom & under pot, add drops of apple cider or distilled vinegar) to avoid white fly & bugs (i add cinnamon to surface.) The soilless mix with cinnamon & charcoal have avoided all problems except for the bubbling leaves on penta. Contemplating sulfer dust.
@sulu sharangi, If you like, you can Prune them and they would be bushy. Since they are kind of creeping, please make sure whether they are getting enough Sunlight or not. Plants usually become leggy if we don't provide them direct Sunlight. Good luck and thank you for your feedback, much appreciated :-)
My pentas plant has grown quite tall & the main stem is all soft & the branches are all over the place. I did not know they can be bushy like how you have grown it. How can I rectify it? They are over 3-4 years old.
@anitha nayak, The two things you can do - 1. Prune your plant 2. Provide it more Sunlight. 3-4 years old, that's really great to know and please avoid pruning at this time. Instead, you can provide whole day of Sunlight in Winter season (as it's almost approaching) and then prune your plant in Feb-March next year. Obviously they would be bushier, Good luck :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat thank you so much. Yes I haven’t pruned it. I am in Bangalore & it’s still the rainy season still on here with sunny days in between.
Saw your video on different varieties of bouganvillia. Can u pls send me cuttings of bouganvillias.I have not seen such beautiful collection in any nearby nursery.I will be very happy if u send me cuttings pls sir.
@wendyouellette, Really sorry about that..after getting your comment, I have fixed the Subtitles and I hope, you can take a look at the Subtitles. Did it in a hurry..there may be some mistakes still, but I have tried my best! Thank you for stopping by..
@@GardeningUpbeat yes Thankyou so much it seems like a lot of the videos for the Pentas have been in a different language and I have some I’m worried about and don’t want to lose. I appreciate you changing that. What I need to know that I’m looking for a video is I bought a pot with 3 different colors this spring and they’re getting pot bound. I’m wondering if and how I can take it apart and repot each one separately? I watched your video and I didn’t get that information but I got some information on the soil and fertilizer. I’ve been using miracle grow and my geraniums do wonderfully with that but I’m new to gardening and I feel I’m supposed to use a different fertilizer on my pentas and Vincas.
You are most welcome and yeah, I can understand what you said. It's because it's not a very popular plant like Rose. But I love all the plants and try to cover them in my channel. Problem is my bad pronunciation or English :-( Anyway, getting back to your issues - You got a pot with 3 different plants as they have different colors. Now, since you are thinking about growing each of them in different pots, you would need to divide them. No worry, just take a kitchen knife and divide them equally. Surely, some roots would get damaged..but nothing to be worried at all. Take each plant and plant them separately in different pots. Since you are getting good result with Miracle Grow, please use that for Pentas too. I have many videos on dividing plants..but I did all to propagate. Your case is bit different and I am sorry to say that, I don't have exact video on this. But no worry, just take a knife and cut in 3 equal parts, just like Pizza :-) In case, you want to know how I divide plants, Plz watch this - ruclips.net/video/VJL01SbwwDY/видео.html Sending this link just to encourage you! There is totally nothing to be worried about and just do it like Pizzas (My daughter always take the bigger piece..he he). After repotting, if you provide them good soil mix and take proper care, they would thank you anyway. Good luck and I would try to do a video on this in coming days!
@@GardeningUpbeat awww you’re such a very nice man I appreciate your help so much. Yes I’m very worried and today I was going to try and figure it out but my husband and I will watch what you sent and work on them. I’ll let you know how my Pizzas work out! I’m subscribing to your RUclips so I’ll keep learning. Thankyou again very much!🦋

@@GardeningUpbeat just one aspect I wanna know : how to propagate Pentas?

Or should cut back the bubbled branches?
Very much helpful video to me. I have 3 , but the stems are creeping, not hard at all. How do I take care of those and plant and prune? Thnx

What to do during rainy days? Should i let it sit in the rain or should i move my pentas to a place where there’s protection from rain?
If you can protect from rains, it's good! Or else, they suffer a bit..
