I was gifted 3 clippings of the princess, their both beautiful, however i pick the princess because of the cream n pink variation.. have it in spagman moss to root.. cant wait for the roots to grow..😍 Thanks for your time n awesomeness video... 👌
I just bought a queen and I’m in love! I honestly love the woody tendrils that don’t have a ton of leaves yet, but my favorite part is that one branch has a bunch of beautiful baby pink leaves. I definitely like the variegation on this one! Maybe I’ll add the princess to my collection one day, but I have to say I’m a bigger fan of the darker green leaves on the queen
yes totally agree on how the queen has darker green leaves..plus it grows faster so definitely a favourite of mine as well! the pink leaves are so stunning when they first come out
I like the Queen better & the mealy bugs I just killed agree with me!! 😆. I don’t actually have the princess. I know I’m going to offend a lot of plant owners, but I own a lot of plants, (too many) & I only have one Hoya. They’re all so slow growing & I never had pests until I brought the queen into my home. (Maybe they’re her royal subjects??) She’s a bit of a pain in the arse. I know a lot of people who said “you have to get a Hoya, once you get one you’ll want to start collecting them” & “I can’t believe you have all these plants & don’t have a Hoya yet”. I was expecting this plant to knock my socks off. 😬. Hope my queen doesn’t read this. She’ll probably *never* give me flowers now.
haha hoyas definitely aren't for everyone but i hope you continue to love and care for your hoya krimson queen! that one is quite a stunning plant and is quite easy compared to other hoyas!
Hi, as a beginner in hoya and having a carnosa queens as a gift this is an informative post, thank you. The comparison also between a princess is highly appreciated and can’t agree about your thoughts on it’s beauty.👌🏼 See you around. Angie✨
I have the Queen, its only one stem right now, I bought it back in Sept and its finally showing growth. Now I see the Princess I do like its leaves so much more.
My queen & princess were both in my west facing window and gave me no growth. I placed them directly under my grow light in a 50% humidity area, and spray them every few days with Miracle Gro Orchid Fertilizer. I also hold off on water them. I wait til I see the wrinkles, then give them a couple more days before giving them a good long bottom water. Within a month I have soo many new leaves! Turns out my Princess was defying all odds and is a faster grower. It's insane :D
Wow I’m glad your princess is faster growing than your queen. Mines definitely the opposite. Also don’t have the luxury of a wonderful west facing window haha so my north one will have to suffice for now!
My hoyas have not bloomed for me yet. I’ve only started collecting them recently so usually more mature hoyas bloom! But I see a lot of peduncles on my hoyas though. I do trim them when they get too long but that’s only due to space restrictions
It’s harder to find the queen where I’m from. The princess is easier. I had to order a small queen online to get my hands on one that didn’t cost so much. I love my queen more than my princess!
I love my queen...but she is a slow grower for me. She didn't put on any new growth for the 1st year.. I recently moved her right up against a large covered, south facing window but she doesn't receive any direct light. Fingers crossed.

Ahh it was probably taking time to root more and acclimate today your home before pushing out new growth! Glad it’s finally doing something!!
I just got two small one stem princess... they are so cute.
Lol, gotta love it when the nursery mixes them up and send a princess instead of the queen you ordered
hopefully you like the princess too! it's a beautiful plant
Oh definitely, I actually prefer it :)

Hi... I just got a princess. Well I got two. I think the princess is more interesting to look at. But both are very lovely. Thank you for the info
I totally agree! hope yours thrives in your care!!
Thanks... I'm really enjoying Hoyas

Thank you for this. I have a hoya i think she's a queen
hoya krimson queen is beautiful!
I love the Hoyas
Usefull vid since i have them both ❤
which one do you like more? i'm definitely a princess fan atm but i swear mine changes every so often (mainly when the plant has a growth spurt) LOL
The Princess is my favorite 💚
So nice to see your hoyas grow .
.do u trim it ,? And what about the Flowers
My hoyas have not bloomed for me yet. I’ve only started collecting them recently so usually more mature hoyas bloom! But I see a lot of peduncles on my hoyas though. I do trim them when they get too long but that’s only due to space restrictions
Yeah agree mine same thing slow grower .
Love the trellis on the Queen. What did u use.
12 or 14 gauge wire from Home Depot or any big box store. Super easy to bend and just make a customized trellis :)
Loved this video! ❤️
Thanks for watching 😊
Hoyas look so good on round trellis! I'm trying to find them in my area but haven't been successful.. do you buy or make your own?
I just buy some 14 gauge wire I think (or 12 gauge) and bend it to make whatever shape for a trellis. It’s cheaper and more customizable 😅
@@GloriasPlants thanks! I'm going to do that too :)

Yes I have observed that the queen grows slower than my princes. Love hoyas too.
thanks for sharing- love watching your videos...
My tendrils on my Queen are super pink.. I didn't realize that was odd.
They are quite pink actually! I love how new growth can come out pink too
I don’t like pink so Queen is for me!! Green and white in the plant are so fresh to see.
Omg I love the pink!!!!! It’s so cute 😅
How about their soil? Is there any difference in their soil mix? Thanks!
no they are quite similar!
Is it normal for my queen to push out pink leaves!
Yes! will fade to cream colour after it matures
Hi there, which ct location did u get the plant?
Etobicoke one
Hello! There is a video about the carnosa albo vs ? New subscriber! ;-)
its about the 2 hoya carnosa varieties. both are variegated and called "krimson queen" and "krimson princess". thanks for subbing :)
@@GloriasPlants Thank you! Do you have a video about the hoya albo vs another plant? :-) I would love to learn a bit more! Stay safe!!
