I don't just buy everything but something about anime specifically on VHS makes my soul sing.
Man that's cool that they still have these things nowadays.....with all the new systems, the fact these kinds of things still go on is cool....my favorite games in my collection are typically from the systems now considered "retro" consoles, (NES, SNES, SEGA GENESIS, etc....) The games on those consoles were creative, and just very chill....Many of them were way more difficult than today's newer console games....Also it's pretty cool that people are still making games for the older systems....It's cool that these kinds of things still exist, and you are lucky to be able to go to so many of them.👍

WMAC Masters was the best! Johnny Smith (the guy that plays Tiger Claw) has been my martial arts instructor for 20 years in a small town in Alabama. His friend, Great Wolf, is 30 minutes north of us.

I bought a bunch of CIB 2600 games from that vendor. Also, I like how John speaks in hushed tone at the art exhibit as if it’s a real gallery, lol. Oh, and I bought a book on nostalgic cereals from some booth.
Those shirts are so old if I use my radio voice they'll disintegrate.

That's the fire alarm. Sometimes they evacuate the convention centers and sometimes not. It depends on if the fire department shows up I guess. I have seen it happen both ways.

Kind of bummed that I was planning to attend this on Sun early afternoon. Went with the wife to the Rose Bowl flea market early in the morning and by the time we were done around 11, she was tired, hungry, and just wanted to go home. Was debating back and forth up to 2PM if I should go and were just too tired and went to sleep. Would have brought a bunch of things that I probably didn't need 😀. Oh well looking forward to next year.
Yeah, a few of the guests here went to flea markets before the show opened Sunday, too.

It's definitely one to go to. One of my top ones for sure. And so many voice actors. PRGE has always steered clear of 'celebrity' guests like that so who knows.

As a Music Collector and Video games mostly involved with the CD format I can easily say that it does matter with condition and whether or not they are refurbished/rebuffed as most times it wears out the layers and also prevents some disc's from reading.
PS... disc rot is only for people who don't know how to take care of physical media. I still have cds both from my dad in the 80s and they are immaculate to this day.
But that jawn and ship it home.

I still don't know why anyone wants VHS. I remember them well enough and have no interest in turning back that particular clock. There's a reason why DVD largely replaced them in five years and bluray failed to replace DVD yet.
Like to see more repros. Repros, fan translations and homebrew are pretty much the only games I have any interest in buying any longer.
Many shows aren't on DVD or streaming and, sometimes, they're edited in some way. VHS worked for me then and still does now... for now.
I agree. I didn't like VHS when it was new lol. I tolerated it to watch movies. Once DVD came, good bye VHS forever haha

Don't understand how you're all buddies with a guy who literally sells everything at insane prices and is out there scooping everything away for himself to make constant profit, screwing everyone over in the hobby of just wanting to collect videogames without having to spend an obscene amount of money. Guess it really is a tightknit circle.
Which guy? There's more than one. Good news is whomever it is isn't going to every place everyone else is. Places like Utah and Idaho are generally left alone. Sucks for those in places like LA or even Seattle/Portland.

Bleh! The so cal retro market has been completely taken over by horrible resellers. All the “popular” you tubers here are a bunch of sellouts and are the reason prices here are out of control.
SoCal market taken over by resellers? Perhaps, but they're not the blame for the market prices. Blame the people buying games at terrible prices. If nobody buys, the prices drop.
