Did this last year, and thought I'd try my luck again...here are my predictions for team finals at this year's Worlds. This year's team is comprised of: Danell Leyva, Sam Mikulak, Alex Naddour, Paul Ruggeri, Donnell Whittenburg, and Brandon Wynn (alternates are Chris Brooks and Marvin Kimble). Floor - Mikulak, Ruggeri, Whittenburg Pommel - Leyva, Mikulak, Naddour (same as last year, and I picked Leyva because I don't feel Whittenburg and Wynn are pommel guys, and Ruggeri was hit-or-miss at this year's P&Gs) Rings - Naddour, Whittenburg, Wynn Vault - Mikulak, Ruggeri, Whittenburg (but Naddour could sneak in - he's upgraded to a Tsuk double pike, which he did well at P&Gs) Parallel Bars - Leyva, Mikulak, Whittenburg (but Sam's spot could be filled by either Ruggeri or Wynn) High Bar - Leyva, Mikulak, Ruggeri Thoughts?
+Formal Wolf - Thanks. And now it has to be updated. Just heard that Sam Mikulak will not compete at Worlds due to an ankle injury. (More here: usagym.org/pages/post.html?PostID=17401&prog=) This means his spot will either be filled by Chris Brooks or Marvin Kimble. So, here are my revised lineups, first with Brooks, then with Kimble: With Brooks: Floor - Brooks, Ruggeri, Whittenburg Pommel - Leyva, (probably) Whittenburg, Naddour Rings - Same as original post. Vault - Naddour, Ruggeri, Whittenburg Parallel Bars - Leyva, Brooks, Whittenburg (but Wynn could compete if DWhitt has problems) High Bar - Brooks, Leyva, Ruggeri With Kimble: Floor - Naddour, Ruggeri, Whittenburg. Naddour scored higher on FX at the P&Gs than Kimble and Leyva. Leyva has a slightly higher D-score than Naddour, but he's had trouble with his new routine. Pommel - Kimble, Leyva, Naddour. Whittenburg could sneak in. However, although I said he 'didn't look like a pommel horse guy,' he still had a higher average score than Leyva. Rings - Kimble, Whittenburg, Wynn Vault - Naddour, Ruggeri, Whittenburg Parallel Bars - Kimble, Leyva, Whittenburg High Bar - Kimble, Leyva, Ruggeri
+Lana2k6 Here are the actual line-ups for tomorrow's team final, and how they compared to my predictions: Still rings: Naddour, Whittenburg, Wynn (3 for 3, and the correct order) Vault: Ruggeri, Whittenburg, Naddour (3 for 3 but out of order) Parallel bars: Ruggeri, Whittenburg, Leyva (2 for 3) Horizontal bar: Brooks, Ruggeri, Leyva (3 for 3 but out of order) Floor exercise: Whittenburg, Naddour, Ruggeri (2 for 3) Pommel horse: Leyva, Whittenburg, Naddour (3 for 3, and the correct order)

The commentators for Day 1 were a bit more technical, but the commentators for Day 2 seem more enthusiastic.
