I second that, they're sketchy as hell.
Honestly, it seems like most of the ubiquitous sponsors on youtube turn out sketchy. The Established Titles thing was another one. It makes me question all of them. That's the effect those two scams had on all advertisers.
@@AliceBowie I've seen some other sponsors that are questionable at best. They remind me of the ads that you used to see at 2 AM on the smaller television networks... like shamwow and reverse mortgages.
I'm tired of trying to read through youtube comments and reading crap about better help. dont care.
Better help is a scam, you're probably not talking to an actual therapist.

@@atticstattic the actual problem with this company is they promise privacy for their customers , but they lie . They sell the personal data of their customers to so many sites . So there is no privacy with them . Additionally , many customers have been scammed in service and dragged through an extremely difficult cancellation process.
Better Help is a scam. Google it. Upper Echelon made recently great mini documentary about them.
You need to review the scam company BetterHelp before taking their dirty money. Poor show.

@@bassage13 Yeah and it's embarrassing that they don't do any research before accepting these sponsorship deals. Memology did a series about them back in 2018 about how scummy they are including the youtubers who back then were faking mental health issues so they could peddle this Better Help sponsorship for monetary gain.

I just heard that there’s a scandal with a company that sponsors RUclips channel’s. I know of people that have channels and I would like to warn them of this company but I need to know more. I haven’t had time to look yet.
I replied to this earlier that named a Polygon article from 2018, but it was censored. You'll have to research it yourself.

Only in our modern age of madness could a so-called "professional" business put out a film called "a Mad Max Saga" and not include Mad Max. Personally, I am now waiting for a "Darth Vader Saga" starring Peppa Pig.

That's what 'Mad Max saga' means. It's same setting but not starring max. Beside that Max was always the viewpoint character but he wasn't a traditional main character , the story usually centered around other people that he stumbled upon and helped in some way.

But George miller been talking about having her own film it been years at this point. Even fury road, max wasn’t the focus, it’s like most western or samurai films, the main character is just the vehicle
Max was never the focus past the first movie.
He's a viewpoint character like Tom Cruises character in The Last Samurai but the movie isn't about him. He just stumbles upon people he ends up helping.
@@mightquinnable Yeah, it's no secret that Miller has been planning a Furiosa led movie for years. The Mad Max stories are about the post apocalyptic world and how it has changed society. A lot of people are MM fans for the action and the coolness of Max but they're often the same people who don't care for the first MM movie, which tells me that they're about the aesthetics and the action more than narrative content.

it's also the most frightening story because it's so close to the actual reality that you know it can happen...
The original was so psychological and dark. The others were basic action films.

BetterHelp is _not_ a scam. People complaining about them are conflating two different issues. The selling of data is not something that _is_ happening - it has _already happened_ with fines and refunds pending. If it were a hospital or Dr's office in the US, it would already be shut down. That's reason enough to be wary of it. But the quality of care and the providers is a completely separate issue.
Watch Hope and Glory. A Mad Max fan film, with ACTUAL Mad Max in it, quite well done

My local cinemark theater played Fury Road. Never saw it in theaters and it was an actual experience. Not a disney marvel experience, chest rattling heart bumping edge of your seat good time. So glad i got to experience that with my son.

6:54 Well, they did make a Mad Max game that released around the time when Fury Road was in theaters. I didn't play it but heard good things.
It is a fun, open world game. You should check it out if you get a chance.

I like imaginative, intelligent, clever, and cohesive storytelling as much as anyone else. However, there is a part of me that still enjoys the crazy-wild “what the hell was that?” story that slams and ricochets through whatever medium is presenting it-words on a page, comic panels, television, or film. Here, I long for the days of Heavy Metal magazine in its prime… when it was unapologetically weird. Since I have not seen Furiosa yet, I don’t know if I will like it or not, but the trailers flick that tender part of those same primitive expectations that enjoyed Heavy Metal.
Just watch the Mel Gibson Mad Maxs. Everything else is just mildly related.
When i watched fury road i thought it was a great visual spectacle. Yet it felt empty and I've never had the desire to rewatch it. Now so many years later I have no desire to watch furiosa. I'd rather go back and watch the road warrior again. Such a better movie than Fury road.

I really appreciated this review I was on the fence about seeing this movie but now I have an idea of what to expect and look forward to viewing it.
Who the heck cares what company they get a sponsor for, it’s up to the individual to do the do diligence if they want to use that company. I loved all the Mad Max movies and I preferred fury Road to thunder dome.

@@mightquinnable I hear your perspective and I appreciate the environments/ landscapes. I can also appreciate the effort to shoot some of the action scenes but these modern Mad Max movies don’t feel same at all to me as the Mel Gibson ones.
I think the story lines and characters in these modern mad max movies are more like fireworks than a timeless post apocalyptic western.
The immersion breaker for me, is that the major requirements for life are water and food. Where are all these desert folk growing crops? Does food fall from the sky? Makes no sense.
Al's dead-fish eyed, lifeless comatose advert for the simplyfood or whatever ad at the start was the best acting than anything I've seen out of Hollywood all year, you've got an Oscar coming your way, mate!

The last one was one of the first bait and switch movies, the first of many to come which resulted in many great franchises dying.

Harsh words but not untrue. I guess Miller was allowed to make another movie because Fury Road made a good amount of money via physical media/digital and got awards recognition. And Miller secured DEI money for "Furiosa".

Max is kind of the anchor - precisely because of what you saod.
It is also still a bait and switch - leveraging Mad Max to give us androgynous girl boss.
I will say: Fury Road worked. And it worked because it was good. It was not made after a string of girl-replacement films - but was the first instead. And Max was still awesome in it. And the constant visual appeal and dynamic visual storytelling was awesome energy.
But I guess thats the thing. Miller could have zigged while others were zagging if he had PROVED that Fury Road was just an extension of Max - by simply making another actual Max film and NOT a Furiosa film.
It could have followed Tom Hardy’s Max. That would be fine. And still could easily expand the universe.
Or given us an old man Mel Gibson Mad Max. It would have been printing money.
Zero interest in Furiosa. Just tone deaf to do this after the feminization of every other franchise under the sun at this point.

There is a Mad Max RPG by the way. It was well received by players, but not so much by critics. 91% on Steam and 7.9 audience score on Metacritic.

No Mel no Mad Max
Probably won't be seeing this. I liked Fury Road just fine, but I seem to be in the minority that doesn't feel like Fury Road stuck with me as much as The Road Warrior did. I know, everyone says I'm crazy, but everything about Road Warrior is more memorable to me
I don't know why people keep underestimating Anya Taylor Joy, she's probably one of the best actresses out there right now. She needs a really good franchise. Doesn't sound like this is it.

I really enjoy George miller his story and the films he has made, fury road is one of my favorites films, so hearing the the same energy behind this film and comparing it to the past one is a green flag. I been looking forward to this for a while so we’ll see. And I like ana Taylor-joy

Had to look up the Betterhelp controversy since it's everybody's favorite hobby horse in the comments... was expecting a lot more. They sold customer data to third party clients, so basically guilty of doing the same thing the website currently hosting this video does seven days a week. Probably worse things out there for me to care about than a company who got a light fine from the government.

the story of _Fury Road_ wasn’t anything special, but it was a hell of an action movie with great (mostly practical?) visuals to boot 👍

anya taylor-joy is so overrated, Charlize Theron is a karen but damn it she have charisma
So yeah, the film is a bit woke and more cartoonish than the first flick with Mel Gibson. Lesbian adjacent Mother, expert tracker, world class sniper, able to locate her daughter in a sandstorm. Mother clubs dude with rifle butt, dude flies like he was pulled by wild donkeys. Furiosa is another self taught expert sniper with match grade rounds...at least the middle action scene was good and most of the cinematography as well. The current girl power trope is tired as hell.😅😅

I’ll go against the grain and I can’t wait to see this one. After watching the first 3 MM’s as a kid and loved Fury Road, I can’t help but be excited for Furiosa.
