Well that is quite a Pitfall I see here. Love getting secrets that helps you out. I did alright except that one secret with the blinking gargoyle face for Mega Armor but even then I did pretty well. Overall it's an average map which is still good. Great to see you back on this game.
I always thought of this level as being overcomplicated. Regarding the abundance of Barons; this reminds me of Hexen's overuse of Centaurs in certain hubs.
Wonderful more DooM64,🥳 that's so awesome!😀 Nice touch at the start about whether the map allows infighting, that's really useful to know. 7:47 b-e-a-r-o-n = Bearon 🐻That bit made me smile.😊 So many Knights and Barons in this level.😨This would be an incredibly complex map without your help, especially collecting all the items. This walkthrough will make this map really fun to play. Well done BigMacDavis, looking forward to the next part.🙂💛
This map can definitely be confusing, with all the platforms that raise and lower in the cavernous area, and all the backtracking too. But the map is fun - nothing wrong with killing a bunch of hell nobles.
Man, finally I'm able to witness a history in the making! I found your channel by chance somewhere around 2016 or 2017 maybe? All I can remember is that I wanted to play Doom so badly, yet it was hot as hell - too hot for any type of activity. So instead of playing I decided to watch a good longplay and that's how I found myself here and got assimilated very quickly. The rest is history: since then it's a tradition that every July I'm marathoning Ultimate Doom, Doom II, TNT Evilution + Plutonia, Master Levels, No Rest for the Living and... am I forgetting any of the official classic releases (I don't like anything released after Doom 64) covered by you? And now there's going to be one more to add to the tally: Doom 64. What more is there to say? BigMacDavis - when watching is better than playing. Seriously - I think I won't be playing any Doom game anytime soon myself... So please keep on doing a great job entertaining us with your walkthroughs. Hot summer holiday greetings from Poland!
Ah, beautiful California! Would love to someday visit Sacramento and Los Angeles (of course!)... Who knows - maybe... But in the meantime, let's play some "California Games" (both of them) from Epyx on a Commodore 64, because this is what I can do now. :D
Just recently discovered you while searching for a secret in Doom II and I've been hooked ever since. I appreciate the detail you put into each walkthrough and I have actually improved my play style quite a bit by using your tactics on clearing rooms. If I ever wonder what a switch does it's very likely I can find out through your videos and I love that.
Thank you for this enjoyable video. This is why I love the walkthrough mood of BMD. You sound so relaxed and good humored here, I like it. “Bearons,” lol
I love how in this map you spend the whole time underground and the next time you come to the surface there’s a giant fire in the sky. I wonder an earlier version of the game had a map and the Doomslayer was purposely tunneling underground to get past a circle of flames on that map to fight this “Mother of all Demons”. But before that he had to get past final tests of Burnt Offerings, the Unholy Temple and the easily escapable 24th map where you can just snipe the Cyberdemons between the bars.
It's cool we got to see Golden Souls but I am glad to see Doom 64. It was pretty much finished before Golden Souls took over lol. Hello Doom64 my old friend.
Odd. At 19:00 i didn't get a hell knight. Maybe he went through the teleporter or something? I am playing the classic version. Very strange, i went looking for him but couldn't find him.
I was just thinking is it through steam and you answered the question lol as I'm sure you know I've just started the video looking forward to seeing this Doom 64 was actually the last Doom game I played. I'll add a reply if I have anything else to say but for now cheers for the upload big Mac Davies
Quick question BMD it's been a while since I played this what ammo does the unmaker use is it plasma because for some reason I've got it in my head that it's ammo is from killing demons but to be honest it was so long ago that I really can't remember ohh and is it fully upgraded or half upgraded I need to actually catch up and watch the rest of these for some reason I thought this was a New play through and I was thinking that hang this isn't the first level and then I realized that I've missed loads of video's plus also just found out I didn't have all notifications on which I've just changed now so hopefully RUclips tells me when a new video comes out anyway again cheers for the upload I'm gunner watch the rest of these Doom 64 video's
Yes, the Unmaker is fully upgraded at this point with all the demon keys. Also, yes, the Unmaker uses plasma to power. The more upgrades you have, the more plasma it uses.
@@BigMacDavis I've only played the steam version. And yeah I mean I'm not surprised with the unmaker Using more plasma when it's fully upgraded I mean it's a bit of a power house which is why I love it in fact I'd say I love it more than the Doom eternal one though that's not fair really because the Doom eternal unmaykr is good in it's own way the fire rate and the Projectiles and ammo efficiency and although I would have liked to have seen the Doom 64 design in doom eternal I like the fact the New version is of maykr design And of course it's in the name unmaykr lol out of curiousity BMD which do you prefer? If you have already mentioned it in a earlier doom 64 video I apologize I haven't watched all the video's yet and yeah cheers for the reply.
Recreating this level in prodeus editor is going to be a nightmare because a lit of areas would be able to be cheesed with having jump ability. It's probably going to be quite different.
While I think Breakdown's track is scarier overall, I think Pitfalls' is a very, very close second, but is definitely a scarier map, thanks to the environment... especially those hallways o.o
Have you heard of Doom 64 CE? It's an improved version of Doom 64 with better lighting, reflections, and weapon animations (an actual SSG reload animation!)
Back again....(^_^) Thanks for the guide on this one. The VR version was fun, intense, but I got sorta lost and disoriented SO many times. (⊙_◎) It was noice to finally move on to the unexplored area I missed and get killed immediately... by a BEAR-on. ʕᵔᴥᵔʔ
8:54 oooh its gets on my nerves when something that doesn't isn't obviously a door is a door, doom third episode has one as well, i was pretty sure it was part of the environment 😭
It's really been like 69 years since the last part of D64. Glad to see it back on the menu
Finaĺly! BigMacDavis is back with more Doom 64.

Awesome BMD, so happy to see another Doom 64 video! Been waiting for this to carry on.
I always thought of this level as being overcomplicated. Regarding the abundance of Barons; this reminds me of Hexen's overuse of Centaurs in certain hubs.
Thank you Mr Davis.
I was expecting more Doom 64.

Awesome, thanks so much! I really enjoy breaking down maps and explaining strategies.
Thank you for this enjoyable video. This is why I love the walkthrough mood of BMD. You sound so relaxed and good humored here, I like it. “Bearons,” lol
The Bearons will get you. Don't wake them up in their cave as they hibernate.
Well, I must have disturbed them too much, because in my area this year, the bears really came out into the open a lot.
Finally this was worth waiting for.
Yay more Doom 64! Totally forgot about this playthrough, been a minute!

Good to see you come back to this.
Yes! I'm now able to continue watching. Thanks for uploading, these videos are just so fun
Ah, one of the trickier maps... looking forward to this. :)
Thanks, Classic Doom. :)
Welcome back home, BigMacDavis.
Feels good to be back home. :)
Glad to see this walk through back!
thank God! I thought you had done this map already, and I couldn't find it on the playlist! This map is HARD!
That was fun for a changes. GG BMD.
Wow and I was just thinking yesterday about how it'd been a bit since a Doom64 vid.
GREAT map. Kind of has a spooky feel to it. Nice layout, easy to navigate too.
The BEARon cave area as a whole kind of reminds me of DOOM II's The Chasm and Duke Nukem 3D's The Abyss. A wonderful video as always! :)
@0:00, this is a good military strategy. Targeting a most dangerous enemy first.
More of everything BMD!! 👍
Another Doom64 level. Excited for this to continue.
I didn't know that you are uploading this game, i just saw one streaming that you made, I'm going to see the rest of the videos :'D.
It's cool we got to see Golden Souls but I am glad to see Doom 64. It was pretty much finished before Golden Souls took over lol.
Hello Doom64 my old friend.
BMD & a cuppa. Does it get any better?!
Doom 64 is back!!! My day is complete!!
I love this series.
Doom 64 is one of my favourite games
13:37 from hell noble to eunuch thanks to bmd mastery of the chainsaw lol
also the cacodemons from doom 64 remind me of slimer from ghostbusters
Odd. At 19:00 i didn't get a hell knight. Maybe he went through the teleporter or something? I am playing the classic version. Very strange, i went looking for him but couldn't find him.
Assuming you're playing on watch me die difficulty, I see no reason why he wouldn't show up.
I forgot you were doing Doom 64 walkthroughs. 😁
BigMacDavis you probably get this a lot but your voice is awesome
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words. :)
This level made me want to tear my hair out

Yup, through Steam, haha. There are source ports for Doom 64 but I prefer it through Steam.
Yes, the Unmaker is fully upgraded at this point with all the demon keys. Also, yes, the Unmaker uses plasma to power. The more upgrades you have, the more plasma it uses.

@@Ben_of_Langley I prefer the Doom 64 version better. I've only played Doom Eternal twice, so that could be why.
Recreating this level in prodeus editor is going to be a nightmare because a lit of areas would be able to be cheesed with having jump ability. It's probably going to be quite different.

Doom 64 is pretty cool
More Doom 64 let's go, we're getting closer to Doom 2016
Oh right, this wasnt completed yet :p Honestly forgot that!
In the port you can easily see the secret doors.
On the N64 if you don't know that there is one you can hardly see it XD
Have you heard of Doom 64 CE? It's an improved version of Doom 64 with better lighting, reflections, and weapon animations (an actual SSG reload animation!)
Yup, I've heard of it. I might play through it at some point, but I'll just stick with Steam for now.
More Doom 64.
Also did you check your steam?
Not yet - I'll be sure to do so now. :)
@@BigMacDavis Please do. I think you'll like it. 😃
Yes I've been waiting for so long! And just in time for me to start in my new apartment❤❤❤❤
Congrats on the new apartment. :)
@@BigMacDavis thanks BMD
This level is sort of like Doom 2's Living End level.
Dammit Big Mac!
I still cant tell the zombiemen and shotgunners apart
Finally... I was stuck in the last map, hehe
sorry for asking this a second time but can you do left 4 dead after your done this?
I like Left 4 Dead, but I don't think it's next.
that trap in the room with the computer area map opens when you pick up the computer area map ...just tested it on my play through
Oh cool, thanks. Always love the trivia.
Wonderful BMD 💜💜💜🥳
yas, more doom 64 ❤
You know what’s odd? I sometimes see RUclips videos with millions of views and no comment… what an odd phenomenon
are you stilling doing srb2?
SRB2?
@@BigMacDavis yeah it's a sonic doom total conversion mod.
Back again....(^_^)
Thanks for the guide on this one. The VR version was fun, intense, but I got sorta lost and disoriented SO many times. (⊙_◎)
It was noice to finally move on to the unexplored area I missed and get killed immediately...
by a BEAR-on. ʕᵔᴥᵔʔ
Those crazy bear-ons.
I love BigMacDavis!
I think BMD has about 69 different projects on the go
You're probably not wrong about that either, haha.
YEEAAAHHH BOIIIIII MORE D64
AT LONG LAST!! DOOM 64!!
Hey BMD, what do you think of the new Doom mobile game? Personally, I'm disappointed
I stopped playing a couple of months after. It got too repetitive.
How to stop Doomguy. Put everything on a knee high platform he will not be able to get to it.
😊
8:54 oooh its gets on my nerves when something that doesn't isn't obviously a door is a door, doom third episode has one as well, i was pretty sure it was part of the environment 😭
Too many hell nobles in this map. More than needed, kinda boring and there is not too many different enemies in this level
Aleluiahhhh.....
Yay !
finally 😂
There only 2 in doom 64
