Trains at Northampton - 30/05/22

Video: An evening rush hour spotting trains at Northampton station situated on the Northampton Loop of West Coast Main Line, this spot features LNWR services to/from London Euston and Birmingham New Street, multiple passing freight moves (incl. Royal Mail 325s heading to Shieldmuir from Willesden PRDC), and a pair of c2c 720s passing on test to from Crewe to Wembley.

c2c Class 720 Aventras, London Northwestern Railway Class 319s & Class 350 Desiros, Royal Mail Class 325s, Freightliner Class 66s, and a GBRf Class 66.

The Class 319 and Class 350/2 are to be replaced by the Class 730. And c2c Class 720/6 should enter service by the end of this year.

No that's Greater Anglia Class 745 & Class 755. And TfW Class 231 & Class 756.

All 720s are aventras, the 745s amd 755s are flirts. Flirts are made by Stadler, a German company, but aventras are made by Bombardier, a Canadian company. Flirts also run in Germany and other European continents, but look very different. Only Greater anglia (and TfW now too) have flirts, whilst most train companies in the UK have aventras.
