    I am on a 32" 1440p Monitor now for over a year and i love it. I had 27" WQHD too and the higher Pixel densitiy is nice but i love the immersion i get from a 32" inch, also for ME and that is preference, i like competitive FPS gaming more on 32" inch. I only ever played on 90FOV and turned it up to 110 and have no problem seeing enemies on the sides of my screen because my reaction is triggered by movement, humans are build to see everything even a flittle ly that is far far in your peripheral vision. I own an RTX 3080 Asus Gaming Oc and multiple 27" 165hz 1440p monitors both ips and Tn like LG 27GP850, Asus Rog PG278QR etc. having said that my best experience is with my rarest monitor that combines the best of everything. Dell S2417DG which is 24" 165hz 1440p. The benefits i find in this one are exactly what i need, Tn panel for super fast and sharp responce times and input lag, 24" for comp gaming due to peripheral vision and muscle memory , 1440p for insane clarity and visibility which in combination on 24" actually has insane ppi density makin every game feel like 4k. Everyone can buy it used for about 180$ try it out and im sure u gonna LOVE IT. My dream monitor would have the following specs: 1440p 25" 190hz Tn panel which ofc doesnt exist.

    hey guys, i have been using a LG 27 inch Widescreen 2560x1080 for gaming for 4 years now ( its due an upgrade due small screen flickering ) and it has been great, though it is not curved, i never head too much issues seeing distortion in games, unless you increase the FOV above 92 ( roughly )!
    but i can definitely recommend going for a 2560x1140 if you really want widescreen,
    2560x1080 gives bllack bars on video players, taking up about 20% of the screen :/

    27” definitely seems to be and feels like the sweet spot both for availability and ease of use at healthy ergonomic distances. Going larger is basically sacrificing peripheral capabilities for a more immersive experience. Only reason you should go smaller in size is lower price tbh. Either way I just purchased a 32” g7 and I think 32” will become hugely popular in next few years. The curve helps the g7 overcome its size for competitive type games

    Okay guys, hear me out! Ive been using a low budget setup (im still using a GTX970) paired with a 60Hz 21" 1080p monitor for the past 10years, I just ordered a mid end rig (I5 13600K, RTX4070) and looking to upgrade my monitor aswell. I mainly play esports titels but not on a high level anymore such as Rocket League, CSGO and League of Legends. Im looking to play Apex Legends again since my current rig couldnt run it anymore. I do like to play GTA5 , Hell Let Loose, Path of Titans and DBD but my current system struggles in these titels. Im really debating between a 144hz 24" 1080p or a 144hz 27" 1440p monitor... And, for the prive of a 27" you can almost get 2 24" 144hz 1080p monitors. What do you guys think would suit my need the best?

    @brandonchoi1283 2 года назад +11

    If you are playing an fps game competitively, then 1080p 24 in is probably the best (also affordable). Personally, I think 1440p 27in is also great for competitive fps while not sacrificing for everyday usage. I would personally go with a 1440p 27in a monitor over a 1080p 24in monitor assuming both are 144hz/165hz. If it is a 1080p 24in 240hz vs 1440p 27in 144/165hz, go for the first option if you want the biggest competitive advantage.

      if you do not care about a lower ppi (average viewer will not care about this) at that size then go for it, 32 inch is best for console gamers who like single player campaign games, playing shooter games might cause eye strain if you sit at a standard desk. the 1800 curve would barely be noticeable so that will almost look same as a flat screen. good deal in general tho!

    I don't understand the need for larger monitors unless we're talking about gaming on 13-15" laptops, you are going further away from the screen as the size increases, one basically can have this much of a content comfortably focused within your field of view. maybe, unless we're talking about eye health related issues but who actually cares more about this than their gaming experience lmao

    • @christinaedwards5084
      @christinaedwards5084 Год назад +1

      I’m having the same issue. But I think I’ve settled on a solution.
      First ask yourself what games do you play? FPS and racing? Focus more on 120hz. From what I see from windows website the resolution drops to either 1440p or 1080p to get those higher frame rates anyway.
      Open world and adventure games like star field, outer worlds, elder scrolls go for 4k 60hz.
      Newer games like dead space remake and resident evil 2 3 and 4 are supposedly 4k 120hz but it seems it’s upscaled 4k and not true 4k. Also from what I find is the idea that developers make those games at 40hz and use clever trickery to give an illusion of the smoother 120hz by processing the same frame repeatedly.
      With this in mind I’ve come to the conclusion that the series X is actually a 1440p 120hz console with 4k60hz capability.
      Also a series X cost £450. spending more than £350 on a display makes little sense to me. I definitely wouldn’t go above £450.
      There’s plenty of awesome 1440p 144hz monitors at £300. Otherwise a 4k tv is still a safe bet.
      27” IPS panel at 1440p and 4k is so little difference in visual quality at that size. IMO.
      Once you start going above 32” 4k starts to become noticeable compared to 1440p.
      Personally I’m considering a 32” VA curved 1440p 144hz panel. Being colour blind, colour palette and true colour is lost on me anyway so I can take that hit easily and I mostly play games like Skyrim, fallout, outer worlds, Witcher so the more immersive feel is what I’m going for, I’m also gambling on the idea, in time more developers will account more for 120hz at 1440p. Especially as ps5 got an update to now have 1440p as an option
      But I think 4k 60 hz is what most console gamers will have as they’re likely using tv’s and developers will focus more on that spec.
      Also don’t forget that the very existence of the series S will throttle this generation of consoles to the 1080/1440 range anyway.
      If your 4k tv is still good , save yourself the money.
      Aim for 4k 60hz or 1440p at 144hz.
      4k 120hz is nothing but marketing. It can’t be done on this gen.

      @@colinpierre3441 I ended up keeping the 32.. the image size IS slightly worse (not to much in game more noticeable when reading text on the screen and what not..) The trade off was worth it as the 32 inch really just offers me more clarity.. its still small enought that im not constantly scanning left to right but significantly larger/large enough that it really helps me see enemys so much better and i feel like I am more accurate or consistant for some reason with the 32 inch monitor.

      Same. Tried 27"/1440p and had to sit twice that distance, so I went back for the 24"/1080p.
