I have to respectfully disagree with you. I logged over 60 hours on this exact 2018 RMZ450 and never once had any bolts come lose or fall out. Maybe you or someone you know had a bad experience with one, but I was very happy with the durability of this bike.-Chase
Tip #6, make sure you have on clean underwear when you go out on a ride, just in case you crash real bad and have to get an ambulance ride to the hospital you’ll have clean underwear on.
#2 is very important tip. I was on trail ride 10 miles from the truck and rounded off my rear sprocket and had to leave my bike. We didn't have proper tools to fix it either.

Check the water in your radiator sometimes it’s good to see if there’s a vortex in there when it’s running so you know you didn’t clog up your water pump. 3. Check your clutch make sure your clutch has free play. 4. Check the air pressure in your tires. But it’s really not that critical it doesn’t have to be exact. But it can’t be too low. Personally I like 15 pounds that I know my bike always handles the same way. Things like chain slack can we checked two or three times a year especially with an O ring chain. Because they don’t really stretch a lot. Checking the SAG every time you ride is ridiculous. They have the specs for the recommended SAG but in the end it just comes down to personal preference. And it’s not a quick easy adjustment you have to take up the whole damn sub frame to get to it.

Carb issues are not fun if the bike has been sitting, or if you did maintenance and forgot a jet your day will be ruined. #3 I like heavy duty spokes, less issues over oem ones. Spoke torque wrench is super helpful tho after you get it dialed in and true. #4 put extra air in the tire before you go. Low pressure Guage is super helpful.
For tire pressure I like to just pump in a few psi before putting the bike on the truck or the night before, then use a gauge with a bleeder to set them where I want once at the track/trail. If starting in the AM will then bleed off a little more in the afternoon. Makes it easy and normally don't have to pump any back in
A sealed O-ring chain does it really need lube every time. Or at all. When you put stuff on an O-ring chain it’s just for rust protection on the outside of the chain. You only need lube if you’re running a hunk of crap regular chain.
Tip #6: Always clean your engine by spraying soapy water inside of the exhaust and the intake to be thorough. Make sure you get a lot in there to clean that engine very nicely.
@@SD-ir1vf right on, my dad uses gas too, I like pj1 or bel ray it helps the filter from disintegrating so fast. But I was asking how do you tell the difference on a four stroke or two stroke they’re the same foam filter you can see when it’s dirty. It won’t be blue anymore, at least that’s what color my air filter oil is
@@donalddonaldson7211 If it gets too dirty you can tell the difference of the way the bike runs. But that is really letting it go for a while. I clean mine about every third time. It is a little bit of overkill but I don’t mind.

I was thinking the same thing. I have a 2' torque wrench that I have to damn near stand on to get 94 lb-ft......there ain't no way you can tighten OR loosen a rear axle nut with a six inch wrench...

Double check that countershaft sprocket as well (if yours is fastened by a bolt). I torqued and lock tited mine, however it still managed to fly off on the trail XD
FlmxFilms Nitrogen really doesn't help, there aren't huge changes in tire temperature on the dirt so expansion and contraction aren't really a problem which is the only reason to use nitrogen.

If you’re on a four stroke yeah you better clean that every time. But on a two stroke you’ll know when it needs to be changed without looking at it.

rear axle nut needs 94ft lbs of torque when you put it back on. So when you go take it off it with that dinky thing good luck.

Is it possible to get the correct rear axle torque with one of those small axle wrenches?
About 95 pounds I doubt it. How many people have you seen changing a tire at the track. Most people just throw it in their truck and go home.

Make sure you let out 1 pound of pounds per square inch per 10 degrees of degrees.
