Congratulations on a Magnificent Bull, that you most definitely worked your ass off too harvest at such close range. Thank you for sharing the results. Like we were there. 👏👏👏👏🏆🏆🏆🏆🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
One time It toom me 6 days to get within range of those elk. Sat in a perfect swirling area and I had to figure out how to beat the wind and get within range. It's a very tough thing to do.
@@dawsondemontiney1247My problem with that scenario is "do I stay or do I go ." If you try , despite the wind swirling, you risk pushing them miles and ridges away . If you don't , you might not see another Elk .
@@CacciaOutdoors i have a question as an ignorant on the matter: are elks generally this scared? I thought they would like charge at you or something, isnt It very Dangerous? Or do you have some specific methods that you use in these situations? Thanks
Wow, so glad you got the shot off, when I saw it flinch, I thought it was gone… notice when it does flinch it does not move its head, eyes still focus on you, that was a test to see if you would react to movement.
I kinda wonder if it was 30 from the camera, but they are so grossly big it could just be a lens/perspective thing. I've been this close to adult females and that was impressive.
I'm guessing, not judging, that they are hunting elk in an area where they are acclimated to people. He was moving an awful lot at point black range. A typical elk would turn inside out
Keep guessing. You see the surroundings? Does that look like it's plum packed with people? They are huge, they are wild and they are dangerous when you get that close to them. Stalking is just as much about your will as it is being sneaky. You have to push in on them knowing they could jack you up. The wind and your scent will bust you long before their eyes will. Play the wind right, move with it for covering your sound. They don't see they way we do or in the same colors. Easier to blend in standing near anything else to break up your silhouette. They will spot movement but it won't spook them if you are slow and steady and still broken up silhouette. They will be confused just long enough to do what he did here.
I would even bet these guys were smelling that elk while moving up to it from a pretty good distance out. If you smell him and he's in front of you.. go for it.
Well the wind could be blowing his scent away from the elk. And elk don’t necessarily have good eyesight either and the sound of the rain could mask the sound of his footsteps.
@@CacciaOutdoors ive hunted elk all my life. Im 70 now. Never seen a wild elk jump up stop and stare at a hunter giving him a perfect shot, especially at 30 yards.
Do you not know anything about elk hunting? This isn’t your mom you can’t just throw ruby Tuesdays and a black cock on the table and have a 700 pound elk come running to you.
Yeah these private hunts are pretty easy hunt a bear and see how you do,hopefully have the balls to do it in the wild and not on some good ole boys ranch
Man I flinch and the deer runs... what wizardry is this
It’s the Sitka gear 😅🤣
Man SAME haha
The deer know you cheaped out on gear
This is an elk. You can get away with quite a bit more
Dude I swear I was wondering the same thing. Dude walked right up on him. Is it raining ?
Awesome you don’t see many people doing that. I sneak in on everything I can. Great bull.

Nice!!! Your average person has no clue what it takes to stalk an elk. The time and energy is insane.

Good windage. A rainy day also covers your scent.
Beautiful view Beautiful beast nice shot 👍
Amazing! I thought for sure he was gone.
Great job!
insane. great kill man
30 yard or 30feet?
It sure looks like 30', but that tree looks in the way of his shot too. So probably 30yrds.
Nicely done ✅
Awesome. You the man.

Have these bulls ever had any pressure in their life? 😂
That’s hunting right there at its best.
wow that's just wild
I went hunting when I was a kid it was a great experience unfortunately we didn't land a kill but, we came close.
Nice! What arrow setup at you using?
Very nice
Seems a lot close than 30. Fuggin thing is GIANT

Arrow placement?
Epic!

Was this a managed hunt? Farm? Private property?
Amazing🎉😅
lol sweet farm bull
Was that high fence or fair chase?
That’s awesome! Great hunt
I dream everyday to be able to this one day :(
unreal
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Every bull is always giant and huge and no bull is an old one…good stalk though

That thing is fuckin massive
Gosto muito de caça mais caça esportiva eu não gosto . gosto de caça prá se alimentar 🍺🍺🍺🐗🐗🐗👍👍👍
Whos ranch is this?
Our military special forces should use a bow.
Sure, that's fair AK-47 VS Bow&Arrow, What are you thinking.
If that was not a fenced in elk……it would have ran 5 minutes ago 😂😂
The bull turned to the side and posed for the kill shot. Guess he felt like committing suicide and was successful. LMAO!!!
380 plus Bull slip up on em when there sleeping!
That was close...
That looks like a Red Stag.
Yeah they're similar. This is a Rocky Mountain Elk. The antlers are the easiest way to tell them apart
30 yards
Red stag don’t live in North America. Unless in a high fence private hunting club that only rich people go too.
😮😮
Where is this? Looks like a game farm?
Lol no, public land in Canada

Private reserve? Elk didn't seem to act in a natural environment...
yet if i so much as breath a little too heavy mf takes off sprinting

3 more weeks
What farm was this at?
Knott’s Berry Farm
@@CacciaOutdoorsget em They can’t believe what a REAL HUNTER can do
Why ?😢
um….. FOOD!!! Have you eaten elk before, obviously not or you’d never ask that question “why” you’d say “can I go with you next time’
Private ranch hunting it's all about the money and with a bow no less Congratulations
Not true, this is PUBLIC LAND in Canada
What were they feeding him?
Do you not know anything about elk hunting? This isn’t your mom you can’t just throw ruby Tuesdays and a black cock on the table and have a 700 pound elk come running to you.
You could have killed it with your hunting knife for as close as it was
What the fuck, you were moving constantly, he was looking right at you. You might be good, but this looks like a whole lot of luck
He was behind the tree.
Seriously !!
Assis
This has to be ai or something lol that was ridiculous
Nope, real life. In Canada actually
Hhh
Wooow kill it just to take a pic … why ?
Meat.
No one said you have to hunt and eat it. So you take pictures (you can eat those) I’ll hunt food and eat food. We will see who gets on in life better.
Shut the hell up snowflake
This is idiotic, how can you kill an animal from a distance of a few yards?! Shame!
Would you recommend lobbing an arrow from many yards away instead? Now THAT would be (ethically) idiotic.
Yeah these private hunts are pretty easy hunt a bear and see how you do,hopefully have the balls to do it in the wild and not on some good ole boys ranch
You’re nuts, this is public land in Canada, 🤣
Keep crying about it snowflake.
High fence shooting👎👎👎
How can you tell?
Not true, I say prove it!!!
It’s not a high fence. Hunting obviously hurts your little snowflake feelings.
Glad I don’t hunt
Ah yes eat the meat from mistreated animals that are injected with nasty stuff. Get a life city boy
I’m glad you don’t hunt too. Nothing worse on a hunt then someone complaining non stop
We’re glad you don’t hunt either. Most women don’t hunt.
I wish white tails were this easy to hunt
Like sneaking up on a cow.
YOU CALL HUNT TO THIS?😠
What do you call it, shopping for meat?
