40 yrs chasing moose in Ontario and I have never ever heard a grunt like the one at the 2 minute mark. That was cool!! Thanks for sharing this with us.
@@bronco0010 it was a frustration grunt, I stopped calling and he got pissed looking for the cow. I actually called him right back after but no good video.
Wish we still had a high moose density here as it looks to be there. Too much overharvesting in my area. It'll take a generation for it to climb back up to what it used to be. Nice video. Thanks!
That's some 'Super Awesome' close up bull footage! I have heard the moose bark call a few times.. mainly from cows. Love the 4K clarity.. I'm still using HD. Canon XA11..its not too bad. My computer wouldn't' handle the larger files. Not without an upgrade. I have two Stealth cam 4K cameras with awesome audio pick up though! Nice video! 👍👍👍
Amazing video and beautiful country! I enjoy doing the same with moose and have a few videos on RUclips but they’re nowhere near as well filmed as yours. Get too excited/nervous to film well haha
@@Makin-Tracks If you have minute... Friend and I were walking down an old skidder track, regrowth about chin high, dragging an antler along the scrub as we walked. Came around a corner to a cow lying down in the track - about 75' ahead. Whispering/strategizing our way around her when a bull voices his displeasure from about 150' off trail and upwind of "his" cow. Well, the next 10 minutes were some I'll never forget - playing him much like you did. We had some bull urine in a spray bottle that somewhat upped the anti. He's on my wall.
Personally. It’s foolish to egg them on that close. They are faster and bigger. It takes only once. It’s like picking a fight with Mike Tyson and then at last minute say sorry. Great video, and it’s takes skill to do that but one bull is all it’ll take.
@@MLSPlatforms In 2016 I spotted a 24 point bull on a hill in a grown up cutting with a cow. I called him down closer to me and filmed them until the sun went down. Then the next evening two miles away I called him again. he came from 100 yards to 50 feet. I have also called one bull three years in a row. When they are rutting they are rutting. Every cow call to them is an opportunity.

That's an alarm bark. Although neat to hear and experience. Definitely not the sound you want to hear while hunting

Definitely some risk involved, but we try to be as careful as possible.
What Zone you in
@@billbryan1031 we were all over the place!
Nice footage man but be careful I was chased by a cow moose a few years back had a 100lb dog with me and she just ignored him.
Yes we are as careful as we can be and still live on the edge, and always prepared to deal with the consequences.
Where u guy from
We’re in the northeast, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine
Do you believe in Darwin?
So you’re just out making them more intelligent???
I’ve called them in and they have seen me! Then called them in the next day, not sure how much smarter they were
