Can't beat that Canham black walnut new camera smell.
She's far from new, but probably the closest to new I'll ever get! :)
Rollercoaster of emotions. I bet you have few ideas already about shooting the new ULF , can't wait to see the episode
Lots of ideas, and fortunately you won't be waiting too long to see them in action. ;)
Absolutely fantastic
Oh man, did this have a range of emotions for me. From excitement about ULF 2022 (which, ironically, I'm looking forward to so I can score some 2-1/4x3-1/4 film to feed my baby press cam -- not quite ULF territory!), to complete heartbreak when seeing the 8x20 to absolute intrigue at the end surprise! You know how to pack some emotion into a short period, Mat!
ULF always manages to be a roller coaster ride. Expensive, uncertain, and for that brief moment more thrilling than anything else!
12x20 for the win?
Did I understand correctly that there was an option for special requests of other films besides those listed?
I’d love to see Pan F 50 in 4x5.
Different sizes? Yes. Different emulsions? Unfortunately not.
That ending! 😂😂😂
Oh boy! VERY nice 12x20. I had a Chamonix 16x20 for a bit. Are you going to use Chamonix holders?
I'm not fancy enough for anything Chamonix but more details on the mystery ULF very soon! ;)
Whoa! That was definitely ULF! My 8x10 is as large as I can shoot but I do have a 5x7. Time to check the freezer.
Just when I thought my freezer was starting to get down to a reasonable stock, Ilford has to go and run ULF again! >__
Excited to see the work you will make on the new ULF camera.
I'm excited to share it! ^__^
Glad to see the happy ending in your video! Like other commenters, I can't wait to see more miniature large format known as 2x3. FP4+ and HP5+ are available, maybe from a previous ULF? But Delta 100 is very interesting. Ortho is fantastic too but that window has closed??? I will watch more carefully next year. Thanks Mat for yet another helpful, entertaining production!
Yeah this year's Ortho+ window was very small and it didn't seem like many of the dealers promoted it like the standard ULF. Hope to see more coordination from Ilford and Dealers on this in the future.
Did he say 2x3? This has me fired up; thinking that I can get some more film to use with my baby Graflex.
Definitely! I've already gotten notifications on ULF from several USA dealers including: Midwest Photo, Roberts, and the View Camera Store.
That end though XD. If Mat Marrash wasn't going to shoot ULF who would?!
>__< ULF was always part of the plan!
Wonderful moment at the end. I am torn between getting some more film for my half plate that I only have plate holders for (So I put the film on top of glass plates and hope for the best) or investing in a 4x5 and keeping the half plate till I can afford to make my own dry plates. Hmm!
Hmm, that's a tough decision. Have you considered hunting down some old Kodak film sheaths to adapt your half plate holders? Film sheaths in non-standard sizes tend to go for a lot less when they show up.
@@MatMarrash Good idea, hadn't considered that. Sometimes it takes someone else to point out the obvious and it helps if that someone else knows their stuff too :) Cheers Mat
