Congrats! I don't think my charger has that auto sense feature, but I didn't know about tricking it with the second battery.....nice! Next......straighten out those front bumper brackets!! LOL :)
wow looks like the valve cover on this one has ridges on top where the timing chain is under it and a quarter turn oil cap! Mine didnt have the ridges or the quarter turn but was a plastic threaded cap
@@i2edeye Same here. Best thing to do is get a magnet and put it on a chain, then when something like this happens, the magnet will pretty much find it for you. When watching you do your tune up, and said, small screw, can't loose that, then I saw it fall down towards the front left of the engine to wharever it landed, said to myself, OH GEEZE! Then you said, found it, I breathed a sigh of relief for you there.
Hope we all get to see a lot more of what your gonna do to this little girl. She's a beautiful looking truck! Wish I could have gotten ahold of a little truck like this 521 series truck when I use to live in Murfreesboro Tennessee.
Thanks. It drives pretty good (next video) but it needs some tires. It has Datsun brakes, but they work haha. Yep will be there Sat around noon and Sunday until about noon.
@@i2edeye Please don't put those stupid looking, ugly wagon wheels and thin tires on this beautiful looking little girl here. It looks good enough just the way it is. Sand her down, and get her ready to spray paint a nice color on her, and get a paint on bed liner put on the bed to to keep her preserved for many years to come.
@@i2edeye Those wagon wheels and thin tires these guys put on their cars and trucks only do one thing. Ruin the looks of whatever they own. I can't see the practicality of ruining a nice looking truck like this.
Hope you DON'T ruin the looks of this little girl with those stupid looking, ugly wagon wheels and thin tires on it though. Looks much better with the wheels and tires it already has and with the Dog dish hubcaps.
I had one like that with the Triple S motor in it and the four side draft carburetors and it had a header Cherry Bomb muffler it was fast it looks just like it
I suggest that you paint the underside of your truck with black rust olem paint to preserve the frame and the chassis, floor boards and underside of the bed.

@@i2edeye The one fellow I was tellin ya about rescued one of these that they were gonna crush in a junkyard. Isn't the same one he had bough that he painted and started fixing it up, this is another 521 series truck. He's probably going to dismantle the whole truck as he did say it was in pretty bad shape with a lot of body putty on it. He started messin around with the engine, and you won't believe it, it turns over, and think he got it running there for a bit.
@@i2edeye Watching you wash the inside of the truck after cleaning it out, be a good idea to get a quart of black rust olem paint and paint the inside flooring, as long as it's still solid with no pin holes or anything and painting the whole inside as much as possible before putting the seat back in it. The carpet is, nice, however I wonder that a wet carpet contributes to the rusting out of the floorboards.
That panoramic lens really makes the truck look whimsical during the interior cleaning shots 😂 :)

The cheapo battery tenders are great for slow charging and battery restoration.
I have a straight bumper and brackets currently sitting in the bed.
@@i2edeye :)
New sub. Cheers from down here.
Thanks :)
wow an L16 PL521 with side REFLECTORS instead of lights!
Is that one of those in between year things?

Sounds like there is some one year only type stuff on this one
Great job! That tiny screw drop in the gravel hit too close to home haha.
For some reason I am always dropping something lol

Wish I had the ones from then too. Still a few out there, just have to keep an eye open.

Thank you.
My dad and I are currently working on ours. It hasn't run since 94 but we're making progress. Great video
