We are playing this, Nebula, and armory for MPA this year. I’m a bass trombonist who’s playing the tuba part. I have a love hate relationship with this peice.
"no percussionist were harmed in the making of this video" haha i noticed that the percussion has the hardest parts especially the timpani and this usually doesn't happen lol
If those are high notes to you then I think everything would give you a migraine😂 and trumpets are just noisy like that, that’s most concert band peices
hey Mr.standridge, i am a midddle schooler clarinet and i am trying to make my own peice of music, can you give me tips, cause so far the entrance is LIT but after that i got no idea what to do for late middle and end
I know I'm not Mr. Standy, but I believe that you should have a beginning, middle, and end for a piece. - Make sure to repeat parts of each section, but don't go too overboard. - Have distinct tempo and style changes in the piece, it adds much contrast and makes the piece even more memorable - No instrument should get ignored - lower instruments and percussion often get this treatment, sadly.
@@Urbex_Fort-Worth i dont remember what peice i was creating then , but as of now, school has me real busy so havent been working on one for a while now
I was lucky enough to have Randall Standridge himself conduct this. About 40 minutes ago, I got my copy signed and got to take a picture with him.
