So I could say that R.S 2.0 with ultra wide is most distorted mode but it gives the best quality of the image . I record in 120 fps Steady mode ,Wide , short pieces , it gives excellent image quality

Sorry about the questions. Cheers.👍
Hi, I'm glad you like it. I don't agree with other RUclipsrs. In my opinion dji has better field of view settings then GoPro. In Rock steady, the image can appear a little distorted. But you have Steady mode and that removes the distorted image. Rock Steady, you have, standard dwarp, wide and ultrawide. In this setting the image is a little distorded ( in wide and ultra wide ). Steady Mode, you have the same as Rock Steady. Without the distorded image, it crops a little in. But thats fine. Horizon Balancing, keeps the horizon locked up to 45 degress. Horizon Steady, just like GoPro with horizon locked. Yes I think they come with the camera, when you order it.

Bit of a random question but do you use any tempered glass screen protector for your Action 2? Main question I ask is that I purchased one on Amazon with decent ratings but noticed when I looked closely at skylines or solid colors that in the corners sometimes on the image it would get a slightly wavy dark/light. It was pretty slight but when I applied a CPL or ND filter it became more noticeable. After some testing of taking the tempered glass off the lens and then putting the 2nd that it came with back on (thinking I applied it sloppy maybe) that it returned because of the tempered glass. Wondering if it's over kill to even use the tempered glass if I always have a CPL or ND filter covering the lens anyways but... figured I'd ask if you use any tempered glass protectors or just go with a filter on it always to keep it protected a little bit. Thanks for the videos, they are great!
Hi thanks for watching😀I have not used tempered glass yet. I have bought. If you use CPL or ND it should be protected, the only problem if you drop the action 2 the lens fall of and scratch the main lens or crack. Im gonna test my tempered glass and see if they work. To be specific, the head bobbing is still the same for the 3 modes. Want your opinion. Do you think they are the same in terms of stabilization or do you think one reduces head bobbing more than the other?
Hey Jason, I haven't noticed any special difference. I record most of my videos with horizon balancing, just like to see a straight horizon. @@EspenJohan Yeah, I do agree the image quality won't be the best. I was also thinking about the stabilization part. At night, we will have this micro jitter. Hence, have you ever used any gimbal with the DJI action 2?

@@EspenJohan 1. Alright, so far no split clips issue for you. That is some assurance.
2. I read about the same thing in forums. Alright, that is some things to look out for.
3. That sounds good. Reliable is what I need. I can't spot a tiger and not have a footage of it due to my action camera bugging out. I won't be able to sleep for a few nights XD
And thank you for sharing your experience with me! Now I can make an informed choice in buying my next action camera.
@@JasonTheZoologist I'm glad I can help👍
agree like all of em excelent review Espen J Travels.
Thank you Fish👍
you are not in focus, the focus is at 1-2 meters from you, is there out some lens that can bring the subject in focus? Thx.
Oh im gonna check that out, thanks for watching👍😀
@@EspenJohan i mean that for Action 1 is: "NOS 52mm CLOSE UP KIT Macro +1 +2 +4 +10" (the +2 brings you in focus at an arm distance), is there something like this for Action 2? Thx.
@@zsolteditor im not sure, sorry. Gonna check it out.
@@EspenJohan Ok, thx, nice vid, the sharpness behind you is very nice, if we can bring that closer to the lens that would be something :)
Hi there- I want to put a Action 2 on the hot shoe of my DSLR and take some short stabalised clips in restaurants and event spaces. Do you think itll handle the relative lowlight in those situations. Ive not really seen anyone do a test like that.
Im also of thinking of connecting a DJI Mic kit for filming some people walking and talking in those interiors.
Hi, the action 2 is a excellent camera. In low light it's ok. If you mount it on the camera and use a gimbal on your DSLR I think it will work. Then you can turn of the stab on the action 2, then it's pretty good in low light. The action 2 is the best action camera in low light. I gonna test the action 2 in low light to. Let me now when you post the video, gonna be interesting to see👍
@@EspenJohan will do - first time I saw this trick was Taylor Jackson - he had a GoPro 10 on his R6 hotshoe - he took a quick clip of a bride and groom walking through confetti - you couldn't tell in the full video that the clip was a action camera
Hey Espen, me again. I tested steady, rocksteady and horizon steady with a simple hike. I genuinely can't differentiate the stabilization of these 3 modes.
But I'm gonna do some tests, because your question is really interesting. I think the only changes they have done is the algorithm with rocksteady. Just to get rid of the distortion in the image. But a really interesting question.
@@EspenJohan nice! I am looking forward to that video!
@@EspenJohan something crossed my mind. Have you ever use an action camera at night or low light conditions?
@@jasonteo5839 yeah, they are not that good. If you don't need stabilization turn it off at night. Action 2 is much better than GoPro. But sadly action cameras are not the best, because of the small sensor.
@@EspenJohan Yeah, I do agree the image quality won't be the best. I was also thinking about the stabilization part. At night, we will have this micro jitter. I think the digital stabilization got confused due to the low light. I am planning to stick the DJI action 2 to a gimbal and turn off the digital stabilization to solve this issue. Hence, have you ever used any gimbal with the DJI action 2?
Very nice !!!! + i subbed + thumbs up # 149
Thank you so much 😀
so in a word; which setting do you like best?
Standard d-warp 😀
Glad to see this video. Loving my new action 2 for travel vlogging. Can get some very unique footage due to how small and wearable it is. As an owner of both x3000 and this, which one do you like better for walk and talk vlogs ?
Hi thanks for watching, im really glad you like it. The action 2 has become my favorite camera, so I like the action 2 for vlogs and travel over the X3000. But still the X3000 is amazing, but the image quality is much better on the action 2.
i just bought the Action 2, 3 days ago, very disappointed, in 2.7 K 60fps you can record 9 minutes, after I attached some metal around it (to dissipate heat) i recorded 19 minutes.. I will return it. Overheat is just too big problem in this case. How can someone throw a product in the market when they know it will not perform? HOW? The Action 1 was a game changer.
I really enjoy using the action 2, for my use it works really good. But if you dont like it, return it👍. The old osmo action is still a excellent camera. thanks for watching.
@@EspenJohan How do you use it? I used it for recording my way with the car around the city, the cam just died. And the red bar saying that over heated just remained on the screen until i restarted the cam. Then overheated again, in the car was 22 Celsius. NOT fun.
@@zsolteditor I use the camera outdoor, on hikes and trail running. So I dont have any overheating issues. I normaly film in 4K 30/60 and sometimes 4K 120.
@@EspenJohan i can't set the temp on "high" 'cause i live in Europe, probably that is a problem too, man i'm mad on this camera. Thx for your feed.
@@zsolteditor I have the temp set to high, thats a little strange. I live in Norway and I can set the temp to high. But Norway is not a part of EU maybe thats the reason.
Action 2 do still look good, but I'm still hoping for a new action cam from them that can be used as a ordinary action cam
Yeah I think many are hoping for a more typical action camera design. But it seems like more companies are making module design cameraes. Thanks for watching👍😀
It seems like there are so many modes with conflicting names. But I guess if you own this camera, eventually you settle on a setting or two that suits you. But then again, maybe you get stuck using your favourite and don't experiment under different filming scenarios. Oh it was so much easier way back then, when there was only Strawberry, Vanilla, and Chocolate to choose from.
Hi thanks for watching😀, yes there is to much to choose from. I have some favorites for sure, so I dont use all of them. Everything was easier back in the good old days👍😀
Thank you for review camera between DJI and GoPro. I am having GoPro 7 Black. But the problem is better drain in sunny day. This is Nilesh from India. thanks for sharing your video. Watch my travel videos and comment on it.
H thanks for watching and comment. Im glad you like it👍, im gonna spend some time this weekend on your channel. Have a wonderful day😀
