Disking a Harvest Corn Field with a Ford Versatile 9280 Tractor & Krause Disk
In this video I am out in a harvested field of corn as this farm is disking the corn stalks. I shot this video in Mid December and this field will set over the winter and the farm will come back in the spring and plant soybeans directly into this field with no other tillage being done.
The Tractor in the video is a Ford Versatile 9280 that was built in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada in 1994 - 1995 then in 1996 it was changed to a model 9282. They are pulling a 25 foot wide Krause disk and DMI Crumbler behind the tractor.

Great find, and in very nice condition to boot.👍👍 Just looking at this tractor compared to other more modern tractors, I would have guessed this one to weight in closer to 33-35K LBS. range without weights

Mike, thanks for another excellent video as always.
I wonder if a heavier Wishek disk with the large diameter blades and with the gangs set at an effective cutting angle would bury more of that residue for a faster decomposition.

I did not see a GPS cone on the cab. Does that mean that the tractor does not have auto steering.? The driver seems to be driving some pretty straight lines.
