  • This is my first tutorial, and I've already learned a lot from my mistakes in this video. My goal is to create a channel of useful cosplay related tutorials, but everyone has to start somewhere. I hope you enjoyed and found this video useful.
    I apologize for the background noise, I'm looking into better recording equipment.

      Thanks! You totally should, it's a little scary drilling into your armor but it's totally worth it!

    why four magnet stacks? for strength?

    • @RandomRangerCosplay
      @RandomRangerCosplay  3 года назад

      Yeah. As you stack magnets the connection gets stronger, however there is a point of diminishing return. I found that 4 magnets was a decent balance between cost, size, and strength. I've also experimented with 7 and had success there as well.

    Amazing. Gonna do this with my other spartans

    • @RandomRangerCosplay
      @RandomRangerCosplay  4 года назад +2

      Sweet! You can actually do this to an existing Spartan by drilling into the torso after it's built... if you've got the guts that is XD. I did that and it was terrifying.

      @cosplay_vantastic3329 4 года назад +1

      Im too nervous to use it on my gen2 spartan.

    • @RandomRangerCosplay

      @@cosplay_vantastic3329 yeah, I feel that. It's scary for sure

    good video but i suggest investing in better magnets.i think thicker cup magnets would be stronger and if you want to extend the life of the prop you can bolt a plate on the magnets this will mean when sunk the plate will spread the force across the prop
