I LOVE THIS PLANE!!! I was a loyal AirTran flyer but now Delta...Southwest sucks
Me too, I miss AirTran!
Good thing is Delta has pushed back retirement plans for the 717, so we will get see them around through the end of the decade. Thanks for watching!
Those planes run like a rocket
A 717? Isn't that a REALLY old plane? I would think they would all be LONG out of service by now in the era of 777's?
The 777 entered service in 1995. The 717 entered service in 1999. So no.
I like these. Very quiet, except the back of course.. and just like old MD's these can push back on their own using the engines.. Unless they got rid of that function..
Glad you like the video! The 717 can do reverse push back, but I think delta doesn’t allow that type of push back. There are videos on RUclips showing when these birds were with AirTran doing powered reverse push backs. Thanks for watching!
Bro, I forgot Airtran existed until you mentioned it. I remember flying on them a lot as a kid.@@TraceAviate
I flew to Dallas on a Delta 717 about 6 months ago.
Haven't flown in 10 years. Both the view and the sounds make me nostalgic.
Was it a 717?
Nice video 👌
Engine view 😍
Love this aircraft.
What a noisy plane, I think you can go deaf from it in a few hours
Na, the 717 isn’t the loudest plane I have been on; it’s actually quite quiet in flight. Thanks for Watching!
@@TraceAviate what’s the loudest plane you’ve been on?
@@minede2040 Jet liner would go to the: MD-88. Piston Aircraft would be the: Beechcraft Baron.
Turbo prop would go to the: Beechcraft King Air 90
Did anyone notice flaps zero! I’ve never seen that.
Not sure if you watch the push back. You can see the flaps move ever so slightly between time 2:18-2:21. I don’t know what degree it was at, but the flaps did look like there were near 0 degrees. Thanks for watching!
flap came back to zero at 11:00
Superb footage of a great plane. Thank you!
I flew in a Hawaiian 🌺 717
