Well I meet all your requirements with my recently bought 2023 Model Y and enjoy the vehicle. I am retired, have home charging installed, and just do local daily driving in my town. I do not need the Public charging stations for my short travels. I did not want to wait for the Refresh Model Y plus I wanted to still have the Stalks on my vehicle.
    All works for me.

Same for me. Except not retired. Perfect for groceries and coffee on the weekends as well as the occasional shorter road tripss

      Wht are “stalks”?

@@duigiud They are two handle stalk/stem control levers just behind the steering wheel which the right stalk does the gear selections and the left stalk does turn signals and other things. They are just long levers to do various things.
The newer Model 3 and Model Y will have all the controls on the steering wheel, which means no need for the 2 stalks.
      Hope that answers your question.
      take care.

Yes, definitely have your home charging setup ready to go before taking delivery. You can order the wall connector or mobile connector when you order the car, but my mobile connector came about a week after I brought my Model Y home. I already had a Level 2 charger setup for my Chevy Volt (which I traded in for the Y) so I just put the adapter on that and was good to go until the mobile connector arrived.
Cheapest option for Level 2 is simply to have a NEMA 14-50 outlet installed on a 50 amp breaker and buy the mobile connector, in my opinion.

Nice video with common sense recommendations. I am really surprised at how many people buy an electric car without knowing what they are getting into. A school teacher friend bought a Bolt thinking he could recharge at any gas station using the same amount of time as filling a gas tank . He lives in an apartment without any charging capabilities. Lucky for him he can plug in to a 110 Volt at work and claims he will never own another ICE car. The complete Model S upgrades were accomplished a couple of years ago.

Being able to charge from home is the cheat code with these cars. You really maximize the benefits of owning an EV along with the convenience.
