Was at that show. Back half of the room was folks alternately talking on their phones and then holding them up to record the proceedings so no one behind them could see. It was great hearing Cooley; wish I could have heard more of him and less of the rest of the audience.
The problem is that the crowd is whiskey drunk (among other things) at a wine sipping performance. I feel badly for Cooley having to deal with them talking, whooo hoooing, and singing along like it’s a campfire singalong.
The problem with Trucker’s shows is you always go hoping the crowd will stfu and keep quiet and about half way into the set list you get a few in you, and you have to make sure you aren’t one of the loud ones lol
