Ok about the tipping….. so unfortunately servers make WELL below minimum wage and then they also have to tip out of total sales. Usually 5-8% of total sales, so you really end up not leaving with much. The additional new tip added is for the kitchen which is f*cked bc they should be making enough……

Love the comments about Mike. You guys REALLY NEED TO LISTEN when he talks. He a rare bread of being able to control an audience. He is such a strong impact on the community of people struggling with mental health. My dad committed suicide when I was 19 and that shit BURIED me. I pretend to be so tough and strong but sometimes I’m so empty inside. So when I hear him who has such a great life say that… it makes me feel like you know what I’m going to be alright! I feel you Mike. I make $35,000 a year, I’m a hospice aide. I work M-F and my fingers are literally bloody due to how hard I work. I’m currently behind on my mortgage and car payment. I have to choose between gas or food. It’s fucken sick!

This is why some people are not putting the effort in anymore because they know if you work hard the government is just gonna take high percentage the things of items are expensive, but the salaries are still less. I will never understand how people don’t understand the fact that a restaurant forcing you to tip is absolutely ridiculous. As a client you go and pay for your food and ensure the restaurant stays in business so people that work there keep their jobs; but now, on top of that, the owners conveniently want to make you, the client, be responsible for their employees salary? As if paying an overpriced plate is not enough. And the fact, that people out there, judge the client for not tipping instead of judging the restaurant owner for NOT PAYING ITS EMPLOYEES infuriates me. Tipping is great, but it’s definitely not my obligation or responsibility.

Mike! Move to Tennessee. Buy a property here, stay a couple days per quarter, & travel for work. You'll save hundreds of thousands just from the tax differences. It's also pretty af & can be your retirement home. My $250k house with 5 acres in the Smokies costs $1200 per year in property tax, with no state income tax. A similar house in California is easily $2.5M. Half my income would be paid to property tax in California. That's literally legal extortion. You gotta make the legal loopholes work for you, Mikey.
