Afternoon Nicki, potatoes are just amazing, they are welcome in just about any method. These hasselback's really look scrumptious! As you say they work well with almost any dish. I use a small cheap IKEA wooden picture frame with the glass and back removed, I sit each potato in it and cut down. The frame stops the knife going all the way through
Just a little tip, if you use chop sticks (the cheap ones with one square end) instead of wooden spoons they don't roll as much and you don't damage your spoons ;)
Yes I bought some cheap ones! It got the job done but because chopsticks are smaller the potatoes were more likely to break apart while cooking because of those cuts being too close to the bottom
Wow. They look next level. I thought I had it down roasting salad potatoes in the air fryer with Cajun seasoning but your version could be served in a high end restaurant. Superb.
Use those free disposal chopsticks 🥢🥢🥢from Chinese takeouts. Or, ask for a pair from them. For goodwill, most Chinese restaurants will gladly comply. Save ur Woden spoons.

WHT fo people put garlic on and in everything. I HATE garlic, can't stand the smell. I like to taste the potato. The same applies to marinated meats, I want to taste the meat not some marinate.

Was wondering about this. They look great, but I'm not sure about the actual taste of the potatoes. Doesn't seem that enough flavor reaches the inside of the potatoes.
