It's really tight that tim does this.. most people with his level of experience wouldn't take the time to help people like this. Although he can be brutally honest - that's exactly what people need. Making music isn't for everyone - and not every person has 'it'. The music industry is notoriously hard to break into, especially without help - and most artists and producers are weary of helping anyone unless they have a connection in some way. Even then they still struggle to hide their techniques that made them money in the industry.

The problem is that timbo is irrelevant in today’s game nobody cares or checking for him. Not to say he is not a legend because he is but no 1 knows timbaland in today gen. Why would someone even consider paying timbaland for a beat in 2021 for 500k+ when 99% chance your beat won’t hit the charts because timbo hasn’t made a beat hit the chart since dirt of your shoulder basically when you can make a beat on your iPhone and get a #1 single basically in today’s age? Neptunes, just blaze, premier, timbo etc all of them are legend pioneers but none of them adapted to the new genre. Kanye might be the only one that keep dropping hit charts from the same cloth. Most of what’s in heavy rotation or viral are beats that nobody knows the producers name basically it’s always a new one because beats are like pop tarts they good now but might not do the test of time. unless you a certified boss like Jay z and co all the producers I named are irrelevant in today’s games unfortunately. Kids don’t check for real hip hop yes some do but the majority don’t give a shit that’s why there is so much gimmick in the industry.

It seems like there had to have been interest with you cooking up a hot beat for Method Man for a single. Is there a exclusive arrangement with Def Jam records. If so why didn’t Swizz Beats cook up for Meth and Red as well. I think one thing rap enthusiast would agree on is the missing recording collaboration between DMX and Redman is a minus -EV spot back then. There was obviously a lot of wanted pressure to record a album for Murray Inc with Jay, DMX, and Ja Rule, but the ideal group was perhaps DMX, Redman, and Meth
