- You hear about a lot of retail fraud around the holidays, but “The Grinch That Stole Christmas at a Livingston County Walmart, took it to a whole new level.
In California, the cops would have helped the woman load the stolen stuff into her car.

As a Californian born and raised, you're completely wrong. They would have also arrested the employee who asked for the receipt!
I don't think they would have gone that far. That would have been aiding and abetting. They would just ignored the theft in progress.

It’s just theft…a non violent offense so the bond is pretty low. Most of the time it’s just a signature bond anyways.

They care more about retail theft then street crime!! Create high paying jobs that will be available for all people, adjust ssi payments according to the rising cost of living!! I’m for certain retail theft wouldn’t be this high😂😂😂it’s easier to arrest folks instead of finding ways to eliminate the problem!!
I agree with most of this except the ssi part, there are so many folks on ssi that are just lazy and won’t get a damn job! If anything they need to filter people off of that program unless they truely need it.

Street crime wouldn't be so high if parents would learn how to raise their kids. There are far to many woman sleeping with men they think are cool rather then being husband material. Businesses that offer high paying jobs don't open in high crime areas. And crime won't come down anywhere as long as we have people like you making excuses. And FYI social security is adjusted for inflation every year. But you still won't get much if you didn't work before going on it.
