@@Fit2Box Hey Coach Simon Can you do a review on Sting Pro Leather Custom Groin Guard no one has done that yet please can you do this Simon Please. At least can you share your views Please Please Please
A headguard is not to stop brain damage or concussion, it is to help prevent cuts, facial damage and blows to the back of the head in sparring, so quite correct Simon, this is not the first thin headguard like this on the market either, we have seen something similar 20 years ago, it looked like a rugby scrum cap with checks, it did not sell back then ,mainly because people trusted old brands like Everlast, Reyes, which sold all the time
Rival RHG10 Intelli-Shock seems to have gone the other way (a focus on helping to prevent brain damage or concussion). Granted that working on defence is the best way to prevent head injury.
Great review mate. Theres one thing that frustrates me however when I see fight gear companies use 'testing' in their product descriptions... where are the test results..? I appreciate all of the products these companies make, don't get me wrong but when a company says they have performed thorough testing, why aren't they showing the results..? Hayabusa did a similar thing with their T3's etc but they had no actual test results to back up their claims, just images of the 'testing lab'... Something to think about!
Hey coach Simon, I'm beyond excited to share a huge win with all of you! Huge shoutout to Ty, Alaina, Sam, Professor Doctor Turner Bıyıklı, PhD Mark, Barry from Virginia Tech, and Coach Bruce for their incredible work. Together, we've achieved something truly groundbreaking-a tool that will empower athletes to perform at their best in the ring. Let's keep pushing boundaries, challenging norms, and revolutionizing the world of boxing gear. This is just the beginning, and I can't wait to see where our passion, high level education, and creativity take us next. Thanks for the review coach Simon.
Incredible new head guard. Never understood why head guards have always been so huge knowing that they are only really there to stop abrasions and cuts as well as slight nose protection. Currently own a winning fg 2900 and this is the only head guard I’ve seen that may make me sway and purchase it! Going to give it a try
I just appreciate the “new look”. they didn’t come out with another iteration of winning fg2900, Reviews look cool, people who actually own say good things, I am going to support this brand. They took a big risk with this, and they deserve the support, I don’t want hitnmove to fail, because if they fail, the entire market will go back to copying the same thing again.
Taking a big risk with a fresh look and style, but it seems like they nailed it. Crafting something new that's both sleek and practical isn't a walk in the park. The reviews are rolling in and they're glowing. Even the boxing brothers have suited up with it, claiming it's the best headgear they've ever had - high praise coming from seasoned fighters and coaches. I only have one question, how is it when you sweat, does it slide around?
@@AaronStanley-r1k I agree with you, should've gone with an Suede / Alcantara type material on the inside to stop slippage when sweating but if you get it and that ends up being a big deal then you could easily just get cut out pieces of Alcantara and adhesive them on to the forehead and cheeks! Done it on my fg2900 works like a charm
hello coach simon, i’ve been on edge about buying hit n move gloves for sparring and wasn’t sure whether to get the agility or the balance model. im a teenage girl, so i have smaller hands and usually use a style suited for smaller fighters, so i figured i would get the agility. But i was wondering if the difference was big enough for it to matter which one i got
Velcro Agility 14oz.. For context.. I do Muay thai, mma, boxing, and aiki jujitsu. I have and need a variety of gloves for different use cases. Hit n move is one of the only brands that have great cross-over use in a multitude of these combat sports. -Flatter punching surface so correct knuckles hit. - padded palm for catching kicks - easy to open to parry - easy to clean/ moisture wicking or repeling depending on model -super durable leather that they always improve. superb stitching - full/correct/ergonomic arm, wrist, fist, and thumb position - slimmer glove to get shots through guard and not give false sense of security like larger gloves - high quality and new foam types giving great feedback and protection all over glove for blocking kicks and to not allow knuckles to pierce to partner. (They have knuckle guard built into foam layer) - the whole glove takes the impact even if hit on wrist. This is a rare feature. Most gloves have an obvious 2 piece feel, this is one. Has a lot to do with how they balanced foams across glove and foam types used. AGILITY VS BALANCE I Agree with fit2box when it comes to the agility. I have both and tried both in velcro and lace. I have tested many gloves. Hit n move are hard to best for price and for a variety of design and quality especially customer service reasons. I have spoken with the owner's brother for hours on the phone. They are real accesible people that care, know their stuff/test their products and will 100% stand behind their product. Buy direct from them, not Amazon as they still honor similar return period, so if something isn't right, they will resolve it. 15% off coupon can be found with the RUclips influencers here and only able to use on their website. Which gloves are best for females or small wrists/ forearms? You will need/want 14oz agility velcro. 16 can also work if you hit real hard as the balance of the glove is so good that it feels like a 12ounce to me and my female client. The balance glove can still work, but hand and finger compartment is larger so at least wraps will be needed. My female client hated the finger compartment on balance, couldn't make a fist as easily as agility and was "swimming" a bit in it. Agility was no issue even without breaking it in and without wraps. If you want them for sparring, go for the larger size 14 or 16. If you want for bag/mitt and sparring go 14. Just bag, maybe get 12 ounce. Feedback on bags is slightly more "poppy" on agility but not by more than 10-15%. Balance allows a little more of that "sinking in" feeling, but still has amazing pop/feel. Personally I prefer balance reaction on impact as I like a bit more of sinking in, but that is because I normally use mma gloves and like to feel the puch/knuckle impact process more. I can feel on both, but more bounce back on agility. Agility is slimmer and I wanted every advantage in sneaking punches in sparring and reducing my false sense of security of slightly larger balance glove when I have to defend. Balance is smaller than most gloves on the market as well, but better if someone is real defensive in blocking blows on glove though not by enough to justify the decision. Balance is slightly softer and better for sparring, but only slightly maybe 15-18%. Agility has the same amount of foam, but it is compressed in a very slightly smaller glove. So It takes longer to break it in to soften it, but not more than a week's worth of good sessions. Even then it is not the same and has bit more bouncy feel like some of the other Mexican gloves no where near as hard or unforgiving if sparring. Both allow opening the hand relatively easy, but agility is a bit stiffer and requires the breaking in to get to similar levels. Probably 20% stiffer. Balance almost feels broken in brand new. I prefer laces with lace n loops velcro attachment as it gives me the better connectedness of glove (part of me feeling) than velcro does, but their velcro gloves are some of the best I have tried on in that department and lace isn't really an option for you until they make a winged lace design like onx or Everlast. You are not likely to be able to tighten a lace version properly due to having a slimmer forearm/wrist. This is why you need velcro. I have tried this on an average female client of mine to confirm this. Call their number if you want to chat with them, but I have a feeling you will come to this conclusion. Goodluck.
Hows the lower peripheral vision? W regards to uppercutes, traditional cheek headgear can sometimes make uppercuts harder to see. Wondering if these have the same issue ?
Just got mine after ordering a set. Gotta say, their marketing is too cva/ under promising. This headgear is top-notch, better than anything I've ever worn, including winning gear. The protection is way better, Virginia Tech data saying it's comparable is off. HnM is on another level.
Hey guys! Hey! Mine came 5 days ago and here is my true feedback: This headgear is definitely being under-promoted. I don’t believe that study that they claim you get less concussions 🤕 from not wearing a headgear. With data you can make up anything you want to make a point either way. Anything to lessen impact is better than getting hit flush with no headgear. That said most headgears that are bulky do give more of a surface area for your sparring partners to hit you with. Therefore this headgear that give your less surface area works that same model as not having a headgear yet with more protection.
Great head guard but winning is inbeaded in the boxing culture that even thought this is a better head guard I still don’t see many top pros transitioning to this…
