On PC using K+M, the trick is not to press the buttons at the same time, but to RELEASE them at the same time! So press and hold the mouse button on "T" (next) and press and holder Enter (sell), and then release them simultaneously, and you will succeed. 👍
Took me a number of tries but it finally worked! Thanks to both OP and you for the trick to unload a ship I absent-mindedly sat down in. Come on Beth, I just want to sit down for a sec and rest. I'm not trying to buy this junky ship 😅
Honestly the fact you cant sell unregistered ships to the pirates or in shady ports is kinda a missed opportunity. Even if they cut the ampunt by, lets say 30% from what you could sell it for registered. Take it as a "Im taking all the risk, so I cant give full value" kinda thing. I think they need to implement that.
100% agreed! It could have been similar to what the thieves guild was in Skyrim where you had to join a secret cult or something to unlock selling stolen ships. Starfield has this weird tone of moral high ground which bothers me sometimes.
Well I can’t try your advice, I’ve lander 31 times and can’t seem to get ships to spawn much. I got 7 Starborn and 1 Ecliptic that dropped off 3 guys then immediately took off. 2 or so hours of landing and landing again - wasted time and no fun any longer, not sure what’s going on with this game. Glad it’s working out for the rest of you Gents!
Yeah, you can do this in Sol, at the Deimos Staryard it has 160000 too. I had to try about 30 times to get it to work, I found that I get the price of the ship I'm on more than the ship I'm selling, so I start with a high price ship to jump from, and I seem to do the T & enter buttons more than the mouse, not sure why that works better for me. I have sold a 18k ship for over 100k three times so far. but there have been times it just would not work.
Oh I dint even think of Deimos! Then you could just rest for 6-8 hours on Venus. Might be a bit faster. I didn't know you could hit two buttons on the keyboard to make it work. Thought it had to be with the mouse. Thanks for the tip!

I love that with the vanilla Starfield setup, a giant ship nets about the same as it costs to buy a mediocre sniper rifle. 🙄🤦🏻♂️ By the way, there are some mods now that will reduce register fee to something more reasonable. 👍🏻

It works on pc. Buuuttt, you need to have an registred shep after the one you wanna sell. Stay on the registred one, memorize it value and the one before it that you wanna sell and than press Q with the mouse and enter on the keyboard. Go back and try again. I did it on my own outpost
Yeah PC is a bit tricky but it does it does work! Yeah you need a couple registered ships so you can get creative selling the unregistered ones since its somewhat random which order they are in. I will try the hold trick though. Thanks for the tip!
Got to be careful doing this it can cause the save to get bugged and run slow on PC anyway. I did this a couple of times on PC and it caused some really bad bugs later down the line ,just putting that out there . Good video and good gaming to you.

@@circuitscore running real slow lot of lag ,save it self loading slowly ship parts not wanting to load. But you know every body has different problems or may not could just be bad luck here. Or maybe something else altogether. Have a good one.
I'm seeing a lot of ships offered for sale as "unregistered". Since I never buy ships I don't know if there are implications - but it IS possible that the buyer will have to pay the registration fee in order to modify his ship after purchase.
I have never tried buying back an unregistered ship from the vendor but you are right its very possible it come back from the vendor unregistered. Ill have to test this out.
Okay, now I’m aggravated. when the new patch came out I could not get a ship to land, then last week or two they were landing and things back to normal….Now I can’t get anything but Starborn ships to land. One time tonight I had one sonic boom, looked up, saw the engine flares, they disappeared and in popped a Starborn. Whatever Dude!

This game seems pretty alive for it to be callrd "dead"😂😂 i mean every single day there are vids about this game, people having news articles, reddit posting stuff....
The player base has diminished quite a bit but its still a great game! I wouldn't say its dead but I don't expect it to have nearly the same lifespan as say Skyrim.
@@circuitscore it has diminished ofc, it's a singleplayer, no singleplayer stays this relevant as Starfield for 7 months straight tho, without dlcs....but it's still has more players than many singleplayers , like bg3 for eg has 2 million players overall, Starfield still has 6 million. I think its gonna have a much better lifespan than Skyrim, i mean Skyrim has its creation kit out for yrs now, has 1000s of mods, not to mention 3 dlcs.....so ofc it's still played, we can't really say if Starfield will not have the same lifespan, it don't have the modding kit out yet, or the DLC yet, so not really fair to compare
@@amitansurkar1769 You can get an idea though. The player dropoff has been much more significant than Skyrim in the first 7 months. I do really hope mod support and creation kit will make this game last 14 years same as Skyrim but Im not holding my breath haha.

Starfield has just dropped on Steam, thats also cause, its not just a steam game on pc, it can be played through xbox app and gamepass on pc aswell, so i dont think the overall drop is bad, its actually holding pretty great for a singleplay, without any major updates

Agreed! Huge missed opportunity not letting players sell ships unregistered at the Key or something like that. Or a place similar to the Thieves Guild in Skyrim.
@@amitansurkar1769 Ship vendors sell you a ship that is worth 500K meanwhile you can only sell that same ship for 72K unregistered and if you register it for 60K you can only make say 12K. The economy in this game is wack. They really need a black market place to sell stolen ships IMO.
This is the only way i sell ships since day 1. Rb+a. from home ship. I never even thought it was a glitch, i thought it was the feature. i noticed no change with this after the patch. also i use stroud ekland, and Demos staryards cause you can get the 160k at both. but in sol at demos, you can sleep on venus and reset everything in game. So after i steal 8 ships or so, i go to stroud, then to demos, then go sleep and repeat if needed.
Its not a feature. 100% a button jamming exploit haha. It is super nice to know though and make the game so much more rewarding. Demos is a good idea! I forgot about that staryard. That would be a bit faster since Venus is right there.
you can go to Hopetown sell at the service technician for 70,000 and at the hope ship dealer for 160,000 and also at Neon at the technician and Taiyo ship seller
I watched this last week and it worked. Hard-pressed RB and A and sold my ships. This week it only asks if I want to register them. Anyone else notice a change? I am selling them at a different star port, but that shouldn't make a difference.
I don't think Starfield has updated since I made this video. It is pretty finicky but I will test again later today. Make sure you are going FROM a ship you own TO an unregistered ship or one you don't own. If you go from unregistered to unregistered it wont work.
the method I personally use is; from my home ship, I hold down LB then press A as I release LB. the timing has to be super precise, but I like to do it from my home ship so I don't accidentally sell a ship I don't want to
Use top range landing pad at own outpost and credit spent on upgrades will pay for pirated ships + builds up the full list of ships available in the galaxy

Boom! That's what I like to hear! Yeah the bounties can be pretty excessive especially if you steal a Chimera III. I think I ended up with a 100k bounty haha.
@@circuitscore Its kinda stupid that they have on mission boards to go kill crimson fleet ships but when you do you get bounty, but now that i know if i get heaps of bounty i can just sell their ship and still make money, thanks again for the vid.

This is the best money/credit method out there.. Especially if you just have 2 Owned ships and fill the other slots with stolen ships 💯💯

You can still steal ships in space but yeah right now the game is borked with ships landing on moons or planets :/
Try serpentis system they almost always have varuun ships

I have still been doing it the same as before . LB + A from my home ship and and last ship sells . At least up till last night I was .
I am still having a hard time to get it to go from my home ship. RB+A seems to be more consistent for me.

Hold the dpad up and it will fill up the engines or whatever you want with what you have available

All I know is its not as easy to do as before. Something def changed but maybe not on purpose.

I absolutely LOVE this game. I don't understand the hate. Can't compare it to Elder Scrolls IP.

Does this trick still work by now? It's been five months and there is few big patches after that.
Many of my subscribers have reported even in the last week that it still works! Lets hope they never patch it!

Not patched at least not yet. Ill test the latest beta version later but the stable build it still works.
Make sure it shows the price of the ship you are trying to sell you have to time it just perfect when you release A and you can do LB or RB

Actually I have found that it works at some ports, but not others. I haven't figured out why yet, but it is not consistent.
