I recently got the 8” chef collection skillet and I can already tell it’s going to become my favorite. I have the 10” collection and love that too but for single serving cooking with a variety of foods, it is my go to. The handle, the slope and the size. 👩🏻‍🍳 💋

I don't think I heard you mention cooking surface dimensions. I would assume the chef collection one is slightly smaller due to the slopped walls

Good question. The flat cooking surface on the Chef Collection skillet is about 9.75 inches and the Classic is 10 inches. So you’re right, you get a little more room with the Classic, not by much though.

We have a couple of old Grizwald cast iron skillets are they good? If I can get them cleaned out and seasoned I would use them.

Off topic but have you ever done video's on kitchen scales? Would love to see some on smart kitchen scales if you are able to.

Not yet. I use the Amiloe MAX 33 lb scale. It's great - simple to use, accurate, multiple unit options.

On Lodge’s website, the Classic 12-inch skillet is $30 and the Chef Collection is $50

I have both skillets and love them. I got a good deal on my chef skillet: I paid only $19 for it a Tuesday Morning store. Unfortunately, Tuesday Morning recently went bankrupt and closed all of their stores. They were a victim of the Covid-19 shutdowns. It was a fun place to shop and find amazing bargains.
