    How much does it weigh? Alu cab and their competitors keep building these for mid size trucks that don’t have the payload rating to carry these! The average mid size overland rig is 500-750 lbs. over gvwr . Most people don’t realize their mid size truck has an average payload of a 1000-1200 lbs. Put 2 adults, bigger tires, bumpers and camping equipment you’ve quickly hit payload rating!

      The load aloud for.most of mid size pickup in Europe is 800kg- 1200kg , Alu-Cab Canopy Camper weight is 250kg nevertheless we have GVM options for all midsized pickup in Europa, Noone in Germany will drive with 1kg over than what he allowed, so I have no idea what you are talking about.

      You need to look deeper into the facts ole mate . I have a 2018 Hilux with the Canopy Camper fitted . weighs in at 2670kg with all camping gear and one person on board , GVW of Hilux is 3000kg

    One feature I’d like to see is a small square ring that would fit between the camper box and the bed portion. Such an extension would allow for the bed overhang to raise a few inches so that Gladiator owners could fit the alu-table between the Gladiator roof and the bed overhang like Tacoma owners can. I’m aware there is the inside-the-camper mounting point but that would come at the expense of being able to mount pouches, etc to the underside of the bed platform.
    Now that you have this modular approach such an extension for the clearance could be possible.

    Though I’m still buying one I’m disappointed that this doesn’t include the heater pass through like the new RTTs and family version. Feels like those getting this tent are being shorted. 😢

    As always excellent product , but why the moly under the bed platform don’t have a Milwaukee pack out box mounting system it will be more versatile maybe half regular mounting and the second half for Milwaukee

    Question: why should we still think of the "old" Alu-Cab camper? Is this not an improved version (with windows f.ex.)?

    Will there be a pop top version without a sleeping area for those of us who want to stand in the bed?

    • @alu_cab
      @alu_cab  2 месяца назад

      Hi there! Yes, that is something we will offer in the near future. It will be a kit to adapt the flat roof to open (without the bed section) to allow standing space.

      @@Clay_Croft I am sure he cares, but when you present a product you need to show it. I feel and look similar to him when I am done with a hard work, a boost of enthusiasm is necessary to engage others.

      @nenadmil 3 месяца назад

      @@alu_cab Sure, but he's not showing enthusiasm about this canopy, it looks like he's downplaying it. I was very interested in it when I first saw it, but after the video I was like - meh, even if I don't see anything wrong with it, it's exactly what I need.
