Hey Nicole. I'm in Alabama so we been in the upper 70's for a few weeks now. I have a porch so I hang a lot of my plants. I have a tall shelf to hold some that don't hang..Last year they doubled in size, by keeping them outside, in our humidity.
In the Northland and I'm repotting everything in preparation for putting everything outside closer to Mothers Day. My neighborhood also has Asian Jumping Worms so I have to be a lot more picky about where i put plants outside so i don't bring in the worms again 😢
Thanks nichole it's such a brilliant idea. Your Hoyas are so healthy and lush and flowering too. What do you feed with? Always like your videos. Thanks again❤
Hello Nicole, I enjoy your videos and I just think you have lots of beautiful and interesting plants. Especially your Hoya. Just a thought “, if you take the rollers off your rack it would sit flat and more sturdy. Then you may not have to use sand bags. 😊
Very cute! I would be so nervous when a middle of the night thunderstorm arrives 😮 I'm not in tornado alley just in the hot desert (low humidity) and none of mine can go outside ever unfortunately.
11:38 You could get yourself like about 2 to 4U hooks and screw that to the wall and you wouldn't have to use the bags of soil to hold it there the U hooks would do just fine or just too really is what you mean
I thought about it but don’t really want to do it that way since we got new siding last fall. Just wanted to make sure not to do anything to void the warrenty 😂🤣
@@SunnySideUpwithNicole OK yeah you're right that makes perfect sense You have a very beautiful collection of plants I have a house for well an apartment full of plants as well I wish I could show you some pictures
I want to put some of my plants outside for summer but one thing I never see mentioned is how do you bring them back inside without bringing in spiders , ants etc ?
I have a huge screened in porch so I take them out each summer and then in early September I take a few at a time and spray them down with water, look them over, spray with Captain Jack’s Bug Brew to make sure no bugs hitchhike inside, and then I add systemic granules to the top inch of the soil and stir them in-that just helps ensure if anything was in the soil and laid any eggs they won’t survive. It works out really well!
@@emilymajeski thank you for your advice. Would that also kill spiders 🕷️ as I’m terrified of them (silly I know) . I was thinking of repotting any plants I take outside once brought back in .
Oh, yes, that garment hanging rack is perfect for Hoyas😊🙏💞
You have great DIY ideas, like the Hoya rack
Love how the windows framed your indoor plants like a painting in the beginning of the video!

Thank you for the great ideas! Your video is very helpful!
Looks great, hope your Hoyas will be happy outside, and more blooms will come!!
Great idea! Thanks for sharing
I put my pothos out and it got sun burned 😢 kansas weather is crazy and unpredictable girl lol
Agree hahaha. I put my plants in the shade and they rarely get sunburn. You might need to find a shady spot that doesn’t get direct sunlight.
Yeah, they definitely need time to build up their defense against direct sun. Has to be done slowly over a couple weeks

I noticed last year I potted some pothos cuttings and put them outside. They grew so much and so fast.
Yes! Plants love the bright light, hot, and humid weather 😀
I had no idea you had that many Hoyas. I’m amazed
Hahaha I kept them as a secret 🤫 Just kidding 😂

Last time I fed them was August lol. I planned to fertilize them with fish emulsion fertilizer in a couple weeks:
Cool never heard of doba before can’t wait to put my plants outside and not have to take them back in again
Hahaha

Good idea!!! I will do that this weekend

Unfortunately it doesn’t work for all zones 😭
I can't wait for the weather to be a little warmer here for gardening. Where'd you get the trays? Thanks for the video!
They are the ferrero rocher chocolate box 😅

I do what Emily my does! Spray them down with captain jack and then systemic (if I remember).
@@animallover1297 you could also spray them down with the garden hose (gently of course) before you do the pest spray and systemic.
@@lisaanglim9588 I’m worried about what could lurk in the soil 😂
