Class II Orthognathic Surgery

The upper and lower jaws grow at different rates. Sometimes there is an imbalance which can affect the ability to chew, sleep, breathe and speak. Orthodontists can correct bite problems when only the teeth are involved. In some cases orthognathic surgery may be necessary to correct the alignment of the jaws in addition to orthodontics.
