As far as I know Florida is the only state that allows a foreign trained dentist to sit for the DH state Board, all others require that the person studies DH in the US.

    1. You can take the exam with out the social security number but You need Social security number to get a license
    2. Visa that has work permit
    3. I brought all instruments from my home country 🙂
    Regarding the visa question
    - I am not expert in this but I think you can take the exams with tourist/student visa
    - You need visa that legally permit you to work and gives you SSN to apply for a license , without it even you pass all exams you will not have a license that help you find a job
    - Most job will not help you with applying the visa , you likely need to have your visa or green card or work permit first by yourself before getting a job
    - I have no clue about H1B visa 😅

Must read! After my RUclips video I have received so many inbox questions, so I made most asked

It contains Q&A from visa, exam, jobs , life and etc please check that out before shooting me messages
Also this easy step simple requirements for the journey to be a dental hygienist in FL that you can also find at
    floridasdentistry.gov/licensing/dental-hygienist/
As far as my knowledge can guide you, I’m afraid I cannot give you the right answer regards to any type of visa questions, the chances of employment or sponsorship? How to practice in another state? These would be something you have to do research on your own
The process of all the application and fees can also be found at
    floridasdentistry.gov/licensing/dental-hygienist/#tab-process
When I applied on all these on my own, I only used this website and it can be confusing but it was successful.
It should explain how to apply, process, fee, and if you have some other questions that are not already on that page I highly recommend you to call them to get the precise answer.
I know it’s hard to move the country and this might get you overwhelmed. However, a dental hygienist is a good profession, and a great pathway if you do want to get back on track to be a dentist again
    You can do this!!!
