    Question for you. Stumble upon this video as I was looking for an answer. Noticed when my toes curl in a certain direction I felt a sharp pain for a few seconds then went away. I then noticed on the left side of my left foot on the top there was a nerve or a particular spot that was sensitive to the touch and as I massaged it more it would loosen up and when I made those same movements (curl toes) it wouldn’t hurt. I have started to wear wider shoes and my calf’s and hamstrings are very tight. What would you suggest it is and what would be your recommendations.
    Thanks!

      Could be some tight fascia tissue. As you loosen it the tension is reduced and hence the foot moves more freely.

    Thanks for this video. I think I might have this. Is it possible to cure? Ive had a weird feeling in my 2nd and 3rd toes for about a year now and am going insane. It doesnt hurt except the very first step in the morning, getting out of bed. It started when i took up running to get in shape. Is there anything else it could be confused with? When is it time to see a doctor and does it ever fully go away?

      @FootGeekzTV  3 дня назад

      You say it only hurts when you take the first step out of bed in the morning. Do you feel numbness or tingling in the toes the remainder of the day though? Is that nerve sensation exacerbated with running and by footwear?

    I have been experiencing a sharp, needle-like pain in the second toe of my left foot, next to the big toe. The pain occurs only when I press on the area while walking. The type of shoes I wear does not seem to matter; the pain started after I walked 6.5 km in a pair of rough shoes. Normally, I wear closed walking shoes that are not very wide. I am not diabetic, and this pain has been persistent for the past two days. What could be the issue?

    • @FootGeekzTV
      @FootGeekzTV  17 дней назад

      It may be some tendonitis or some bruising. I'm assuming it's at the bottom of the second toe and occurs when you push off and not on heel strike. What do you mean by rough shoes?

    Can Morton’s neuroma be acute and cause extreme pain and the inability to walk after
    a day or two? I woke up three days ago with a slight pain just below my second toe on the metatarsal that quickly got worse through the day and by the next day I couldn’t walk and today I can’t walk at all. Feels like a bump is there with burning pain through the entire second toe into the ball of the foot.

      Do you feel pain in footwear only or also in bare feet? If it's pain directly under the metatarsal head it's not likely a neuroma. It could either be intermetatarsal bursitis or a stress fracture.

    Thank you for the video. My concern is my left foot left three toes while driving they go numb with needle like pain and if I stretch them, sometimes they pop and create even more pain. My shoes are wide and the sensation typically goes away when I start walking.

      @@mufflerbearingR32 That means there is no pressure on the foot while driving. Wondering if there may be a nerve that gets pinched in your back or leg that's causing the numbing sensation, while driving. Have you played around with the seat adjustment to relieve pressure behind the knee and on the lower back?

      Make sure your shoes aren't too tight. Does this happen on both feet or just one of them? If so, which foot?

    Pain in my 4th and 5th toe only while sleeping and when I pull and stretch my toes upwards I feel better, but what should I do for permanent treatment

    • @FootGeekzTV
      @FootGeekzTV  9 дней назад

      There may be some tight fascia that's causing the toes to come too close together. You may want to practice some fascia release between your 4th and 5th toe. I will put together a video for next week to explain how this is done. Stay tuned.

    There’s a sharp pain in my 3rd toe along with the numbness. I play badminton and I have a wide toe box according to what I can see. I started wearing barefoot shoes for walking in the park and doing some daily activities.
    After getting used to barefoot shoes, I feel discomfort in playing with my regular badminton shoes which aren’t wide.
    Now did my toe box increase further with the regular use of barefoot shoes?
    I mean is it possible?
    If yes should I switch to wide badminton shoes?
    By the way the pain the 3rd toe that is to the end of the toe only starts when it touches the ground and it stays around for sometime until I walk for a bit. It vanishes after sometime.
    It comes back the moment I rest and start walking again.
    What are the exercises and what is the solution for this?
    Thanks in advance

      Sounds like it may be Morton's neuroma, which is exacerbated by the narrower shoe. I believe your feet are getting used to the added space of the barefoot shoes and aren't happy in the tighter shoe.

    • @FootGeekzTV
      @FootGeekzTV  24 дня назад +1

      I would go with a wider shoe if it's available.

      Or stretch the current shoe.

    • @FootGeekzTV
      @FootGeekzTV  6 месяцев назад

      Does that depend on what shoes you wear or does it happen in all footwear? Are you diabetic? Doesn't sound like Morton's neuroma

    I feel like my middle toe joint is dislocated everytime I close my toes and also then i push it to the right the pain goes away

    • @FootGeekzTV
      @FootGeekzTV  3 месяца назад

      You may want to see a chiropractor or physio to have this assessed. However, morton's neuroma is different from a dislocated joint.
