This figure feels like its still in the design phase in terms of how the figure works and pieces interact. Its like they nailed the look without accounting for how all the individual parts would interact during posing.

1.-The moving eyes
2.-The hood
3.-The lightsaber ( terrible)
4.-At least it would’ve been nice

What I love about the grand Inquisitor is the way both rebels and Live action manage to capture that sorta over the top evil he and maintain a menacing presence.
The figure captures that perfectly i think.

How is he menacing in Kenobi? He's just standing there every time you see him... Well except that one time when he gets stabbed like a massive loser by a padawan level threat so he fell on his knees...
@@donduseigneurpsaume915 shallow reading much? It's really the actors delivery of the lines. Just that way he always seems to be talking to most as if they were children. It's that eerie calmness to him almost like a vampire while also seeking to be enjoying his work almost too much underneath

for the boots /belt you can use ( Angelus Acrylic Paint Matte or satin finisher) with this they gonna stay in perfect condition almost forever haha

@deadscene1 I don't usually display them with the light up sabers anyway....well I didn't, because the arm was a pain to change lol, the wires sucks sure but at least now it'll be way "easier" and quicker to hit some lit up action if the want arises lol!

I was excited about this new usb system to light up the lightsaber, but its a shame that the way that the lightsaber looks is the same as with the previous batteries system, seems I will keep my star wars lightsaber characters without light up function, I am still excited for vader, great review Justin

Is a decent figure but just as you explained it the blank stare if a major issue moving eyes would have made it more menacing and another thing those USB sabers are terrible!! I expect it more from them and is a big let down from a company like them. On another note the costume dept. from Lucasfilm could have easily made him look like the aliens from episode III to me they were to lazy and went with his human look which is a turn off but it is what it is (lazy) anyway great review I might pick it up key word might cuz the blank expression is a turn off.

Thought about getting this. The stupidity of the bouts will likely make it a no for me now. Nobody wants to spend 300 for a figure and have to worry about something that shouldn’t or doesn’t have to be an issue.

Hot Toys can blow things out the park, I have The Batman, he is a great figure, impressed! However, other figures are not given the care and love they deserve! This drop in quality does not sit with the premium prices charged for the product! A little bit naughty, corners are cut and interest in bringing product to the market place as soon as possible seems to outway quality standards at times!

A great review of a flawed figure, though to be fair to HT some of the flaws are due to LFL and the Kenobi series.

With a custom, more accurate head sculpt, this figure would be awesome. Can’t fault the figure for the way the makeup department messed up his interpretation for the show though.

I’m honestly not a fan of the way Hot Toys does the lightsaber blades. The red ones are too pink and I don’t like that they become more thin as you get closer to the tip as they don’t look like that in the movies.

The Black Series Grand Inquisitor is way better in my opinion. It poses better, looks the part, and none of the issues here are NOT present on it. Granted, two different sizes, companies, and target audience, but still, my opinion stands
The quality is drastically different between the 2 due to the price point.
@JustinsCollection still, I prefer the playability of the Black Series one. With the Hot Toys, they are meant to be put in a pose and left alone. I like to mess with my figures

This would've been an entirely different figure and video if they were just more faithful to the original grand Inquisitor design. He looked like a cheap knockoff in Kenobi, and unfortunately that translates to the hot toys figure
