- Fitting a new chain on a chainsaw can be a confusing task. Maybe your old chain is totally worn or broken and you need to fit a replacement chain or you've just bought a brand new saw and need to fit the new bar and chain onto the chainsaw.

Fantastic thank you. Never owned a chainsaw before. I feel much more confident now 👍
😊
Thank you very much for the effort you put into this video, it helped me alot 😊
Glad you found it useful 😊
Funny, I just did that exact job today. The old chain and bar was pretty knackered to begin with, and I then went out and finished it off sawing some tree stumps and some roots. That killed the last life of the old chain and bar, but I had a brand new of each sitting in the shed and will not be sawing tree stumps or roots with the new kit, of course.
Best time to do the roots when the chain is on its way out! Beats getting the axe out!! 😅
Great video, very helpful. Diolch

Great video nice one
Thank you
Can you change a 20” blade to 16” on huyndai ?
20” would probably be to big for it. She would probably take a 18” I would have thought
Good job, get power back on?
Yes thank you! Another big storm on route for Tuesday though!
Diolch yn fawr I ti 🤟
Dim problem 😄
Excellent, thank you! I have a brand new Hyundai that I'm going to put the chain on (first time for me ever) later today. The manual says to wear thick gloves as the chain is very sharp. Hmmm, are they overstating the safety concern or do you have really tough hands?
I don’t wear gloves doing that job but I was a countryside ranger for 12 years. Plenty of experience 😊
You can easily cut your hands doing this job. The chain is very sharp.
@@gwenyngruffydd I wore chainsaw gloves. All good, chainsaw on well and got it working. Thanks for the excellent video.
Thank you 😊
