      I just found this video and I'm so glad I did. I always stay on the same edge going up and down and it feels so unnatural. I need to play around with the switching edges aspect to internalize what you are saying, but it makes so much sense! When you take off of jumps, it looks like you land flat. Are you landing on the other edge still?

      @@Frank-pg7xx ideally I always try to take off and land on a flat base. Once your comfortable changing edges you can be more versatile with how you pop and land. The more edge you either take off with or land can make it more difficult to pop properly and land cleanly. Have fun!

      @@hunterpercentsnowboarding3840 love this video!! I'm finally getting the hang of it, hitting and jumping side hits and it's so much fun!! It basically turns the whole mountain into one big playground 😍 please do an advanced tutorial ! 🙏
      Also, I'm having trouble popping from my heelside, which makes a side hit or a bank on the left side of the run a bit less fun for me, as I'm having trouble getting enough air. Do you have some tips for me on that too?
      Oeeeh and some tips for those 180's on the side of a bank, please! They look like fun! 😅😎🤩

    In step one you said 'what not to do' is to stay on the same edge down the bank as you went up, but once you start demonstrating your olies in step three on the banks, you are actually landing on the same edge as you went up with.

      Changing edges is the best way to learn and progress. Once you have the basics feel free to do what feels right! Thanks for pointing that out

  • @sax1607

    I’m confused I thought the way to do it is take off and land flat??

    • @hunterpercentsnowboarding3840
      @hunterpercentsnowboarding3840  3 года назад

      If you're changing edges properly, carrying enough speed and time it right you'll be popping and landing with a flat base. Learning to do jumps this way will make you a more versatile and competent rider, and you'll find the best jumps too!
