F3 is a beast and will last forever. I shot pretty much everything with it back in the 90s and wish I still had one. Great images, even better commentary!
Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video. I can see why, the F3 is just soo pleasant to shoot. I can see this being my go to 35mm camera.
Great vibes, love the vid
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video.
I loved the grainydays vibe, and also great photos! Subscribed!
Appreciate it! Thank you for watching
You took some really nice photos. chapeau!
Thank you! That really means a lot and thanks for watching!
Nikon F3 is indeed a great camera! Never had trouble with under or over exposure. But to tell the truth, I am also the fan of Olympus Om-4T. Another masterpiece of that time. Which one to chose? Better to have both!
The Olympus is for sure a great camera also. Haha yea I pretty much end up making the same decision when it comes to cameras.
Bro I love your content, I just discover your channel and boy oh boy you def inspired me to take up photography. Nice video great info and the music on point. Cheers 🤜🏻
Thanks that really means a lot! Have fun taking up photography. It definitely is an amazing journey
Very enjoyable video
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Another amazing video and...I think I need an F3 :p
Thanks, Buddy! Hahah I don’t blame you.
You don't have to press the button every time you change shutter speed. You only have to press for changing A to other shutter speeds.Very wise design choice.
The battery dying thing is why i got the F2. Took it out to California last year and got some amazing images. Nikon's F line is grailed.
I really enjoy the fact that the F2 is a mechanical camera, except for the light meter. That’s a huge plus, especially nowadays.
Great video!
Thanks!
I have an F3 with the eye level prism and it’s just fine.
Excellent video - subscribed. :)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video.
I recently decided to try a "new" Nikon but I had a huge dilemma: should I get F2 or F3? I ended up with the F2, since I find cameras that work like old-fashioned clockworks a bit fascinating, and it was a bit cheaper. So far I'm really happy with it. The F3 is pretty sexy though.
Can’t go wrong with the F2. Being a fully mechanical camera (except for the light meter) is a huge plus in my opinion.
Thanks man, now I'm one step closer into buying Canon New F-1 xD
Hahah! I feel like a Nikon just might be in your future, Broski xD
My F3 hasn’t needed new batteries since I got it. But I always have spares in a little film container haha.
Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
under normal circumstances LR44s should last for years in the F3, were they old or used when you put them in?
you have a superb camera and you took some seriously nice photos with it too, KUDOS
Thanks that means a lot! Yea, I haven’t changed the batteries when I bought it. They were probably some old ones. Good to know that I am set for some time.
I think there is a defect in some f 3 that cause it to kill battery’s fast. when they are expensive as they are it might be worth it to get one from somewhere that has a warranty in case you get one such model.
Interesting. I did not know that. Luckily I haven’t been having that issue. I think the battery in the video was just a faulty one. Always recommend getting gear from a place that has warranties.
I spent $85 to get the regular viewfinder to cut down on the bulkiness and I don't feel any loss at all. Enjoy your camera.
Thank you! That is definitely great about the regular viewfinder. Making it a bit more travel friendly.
New year, new gear. There, I fixed it for you. Cheers!
Haha appreciate it! Thanks for watching.
1:36 Pronounced “Tot-num” ;) great shots!
My bad 😅 Thanks!
Don't load your film on a bright windowsill and the F3 uses SR44 batteries - silver oxide @1.55v - (LR's are @1.5v). A new set is likey tio last a couple of years. Some great shots there.
Thanks for letting me know! Will keep that in mind.
Instead of "never again," say "will try again"! One more word will thank you for it
Definitely something I need to practice on. Thank you for watching the video!
Something like an F801 does substantially more than the f3 and cost way less even with some leftover for a few lens.
Really? I personally haven’t heard about that camera. Good to know, gonna need to read about it.
I have both! Initially purchased the F801s because it was SO cheap and advanced, later bought the F3 because… well, it’s the F3. The major drawback I find with the F801s is not having a split prism screen. I believe you can use the screen from another Nikon but the metering might change since it happens inside the viewfinder
I have some nice af glass that hardly misses focus but the manual focus is tough. I’ve only had it for a month and never used an f3 I mostly got it for the cheap price
F801 or 8008 in North America may have more modern features than the F3 but it is in no way better. You could get one for $75 sure but there's a reason the F3 is iconic and the 801 sells for pennies.
@@Caballeroshot what's the reason?
Ah Mr G! seriously how can you NOT know Giugiaro...aside from this, good video!
Haha sorry about that. Thanks for watching!
Oh, look, some Gen-Z thinks analog is cool and picks up a trendy F3……gee, there’s something we’ve never seen on RUclips before.
You could have also behaved like a grown up and just moved on but instead you commented like a boomer about something you don't like when YOU chose to view the content nobody forced on you. Grow up!
I'm four years shy of being a boomer, so I'm just an early Xer. But my comment stands. Hey, at least I didn't menttion the horrible background music that you and every other Zer uses. @@Caballeroshot
@@michaeltuffin8147 Then you should know better...
Heaven forbid people have hobbies they enjoy
GenX here. In many ways I think GenZ is helping my generation rediscover all the things we lost, or forgot, or never even realize. And dunking on people for picking up a film camera? Come on, we should be celebrating every time film is exposed.
