- This video has been going around RUclips and I was SO PUMPED to give it a try! I take you through an entire week and show you EVERYTHING I spend money on from apartment rent to groceries to eating out. I'm pretty passionate about saving money so this video also gives you some tips.
ALSO...A lot of the videos I saw were based in NYC, LA, or other major cities so I thought it'd be fun to show you what it's like to live/spend in the midwest! (I'm in Cincinnati, Ohio.)
**And there was a lot of confusion in the comments. The rent I listed is the portion I pay and my boyfriend pays the other half!

Hellloooo! My name is Clancy and I'm a 24 year-old TV news reporter. I'm originally from Long Island, NY but I moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where I work for the CBS affiliate, Local 12. Livin' the dream. :)

@@ThePk7861 there's a difference between being smart with ur money (like her) and taking it to a whole new level where you make your kids suffer or u never go out and are too scared to have fun. she isn't making anyone else suffer bc of her frugalness, and she still has fun on the weekends and goes out :)

It’s simple just make it happen...if your life is bad changing it is easy I used to be broke as hell got tired of it so worked my ass off now I’m debt free and money in the bank😁
When she said she spends $760 a month for rent I was shook. My husbands and I rent is 2300, not including pg&e and water, for a one bedroom as well.

i like that idea if you have to use your dryer i like to air dry my clothes and saved me over $20 a month on my electricity bill

Heather Alisa i don’t like having to do it so i cut back on how many loads of laundry i do bc i used to be bad about wearing like 3 different outfits a day but i love how it makes my whole upstairs smell like clean laundry and they smell so much fresher !!

I follow her since 2016 and she always eats the same meals. Chicken (just plain without any spices) + roasted sweet potatoes + some veggies lol
I'm so glad you did this! I live just a couple hours from Cincinnati so this is very relateable for me. My husband and I naturally don't spend any money really during the week, especially in the winter when it's cold and dark when we get off of work.

I’m 30 and I’m so happy I learned to budget and stick to it! When it comes to clothes/shoe shopping I only allow myself to shop per season so 4x a year. I set a budget and priority on what I need. This has really kept me from making wasteful/impulse purchases.

Girl! Yoou gotta try Aldis!! It's cheaper then kroger and just as good. Also little things like hair spray, dryer sheets, dental stuff etc. You can get at the dollar store or Walmart, just a suggestion! 🙂❤

I love Aldis, and a lot of Aldi brand stuff tastes as good as the name brand! I'm not a fan of there potato chips though lol. But you should totally try it! You'd be surprised 😄

Is it weird that I’m not crazy about Aldi’s? I just think regular grocery store foods taste better (produce, cheeses, even generic store brand items). I’d rather pay a little more for better taste and quality

Clancy! Just found your channel ☺️ Dryer sheets: I stopped using dryer sheets like 5 years ago. I’ve switched over to the reusable balls. They work just as well, can be used over and over 👌. An economical option. 💰
Omg your relationship sounds exactly like mine! Taking turns paying for each other’s meals and the restaurant thing, too. I am from ohio but things are cheaper especially groceries. We dont have to pay taxes on grocery items. Like food, fruits, vegetables etc. Currently I live in D.C and it's expensive af

Wow $76. I could get double that here in Scotland! America always seems so expensive compared to here.
in Canada i could get same with double price , i think to move to state lol
But, it's also about the analogy of the salaries and the set prices. I live in Greece and I could get almost triple that stuff BUT the minimum wage here is 760 I think. Meaning everything is wayy less expensive for someone visiting from the USA or even the UK but not for us. And that's the case in every country, it's not about the number.
It can also depend on choices in the U.S. brands chosen and where your shop. The cost , interesting though your insight on it .Iv never been to Scotland . So I cant really compare .
$76 is a very low amount for my family. We have a family of 4 that eats a lot of food, and 3 pets. We usually shop every other week, and spend a bit over $200, which adds up to a little over $100 per week. Maybe the place I live is just expensive though.

I needed this. I mentally lean into the way you spend money but I live against that. Not even just the money, but the way you live. Love it. I go out multiple times a week with friends often wasting money and time and feel horrible afterwards. So there’s no goal achieved.
