    Excellent presentation for the automation of the heating of an apartment in a building equipped with a central distributed heating system. Excellent and unique explanation related to the interaction between a temperature sensor and the different thermostats of the radiators of one room. Very useful. Thank you! Hello from Belgium

    Hi,
    Dejlig video, du har lavet. Jeg går op overvejer at opdatere mit Tado setup, især for jeg har 2 radiator hvor v3 modellen ikke kan komme på, pga. radiatorens placering. Jeg er lidt i tvivl om det nye design, vil kunne afhjælpe dette problem.
    Kunne jeg lokke dig til at, længden fra plastik adaptorens yder til Tado controllerens yder ?

    • @PositronMedium
      @PositronMedium  4 часа назад

      Dejligt, at du kunne lide den!
      Det er Ca. 6cm fra adapterens ydre til termostatens ydre. Jeg håber, at det hjælper!

      @PositronMedium  3 часа назад

      @ Undskyld! Jeg har vidst misforstået din første besked - godt at du spurgte igen 😅
      Den fulde længde fra adapterens kant mod radiatoren og ydersiden af termostaten er Ca. 8,7cm. I mit sidste svar havde jeg målt fra adapterens kan ind mod termostaten, og ikke ind mod radiatoren.

      @@PositronMedium Tak endnu en gang :) Sjovt, det er den samme længden jeg har på min nuværende v3 modeller (det mål der står i specs på deres hjemmeside, 7,8cm), men ifølge specs på X modellen, skulle den kun være 6,7. Så undrer mig lidt over at den ender i samme længden.
      Men mange tak for hjælpen

    Thanks for very interesting review. Is there a Weather Compensation feature, either by an external probe or the system connecting automatically to local weather station information?

    • @PositronMedium
      @PositronMedium  5 дней назад +1

      @@davetester100 I do not believe they have an external probe or weather compensation. They don't with the Thermostat X's but I haven't tested the boiler thermostat - so while I'm pretty sure it doesn't have weather compensation either I can't say with 100% certainty.

    Hello and thank you for this comprehensive hands on review of the Tado X smart heating system. I in the UK am expecting to see this on general release in a week from today. I am in the market of getting a smart thermostat of any description for a 22 year old combination boiler, and was considering both Hive and Nest smart thermostats in recent days, but having found out about this product within the last 24 hours, I feel inclined to get this product after your review. May I ask if it is necessary to get any additional network hardware such as a receiver to enable these Thermostat X's to operate independently or not? As this is meant to enable a simpler set up, I just wondered what is precisely required to make this investment to save my gas energy bills over the next 6 months from now. Thank you and keep up this good work.

    • @PositronMedium
      @PositronMedium  9 дней назад

      @@Eric76 Thank you for the kind words!
      You will need the Bridge X for the Tado system to operate and utilize the system's full set of capabilities. Without the Bridge X the thermostats wouldn't be able to communicate with the app or temperature sensor.
      A Thread border router with Matter - such as the Nest Hub 2 or SmartThings Hub - can also be used to connect and control the thermostats instead of the Bridge X. However, in this case you wouldn't be able to add the temperature sensor and connect it to the thermostats.
      Hope that helps!

    Interessant anmeldelse, vil du mene at der er penge at spare med den nye termostat?
    Og kan man bare nøjes med selve "ventilen" på radiatoren?

    • @PositronMedium
      @PositronMedium  29 дней назад +1

      @@h-aaskov618 Hvorvidt der er penge at spare, kommer nok an på mange ting. Min lejlighed er rimelig utæt, så her farer varmen ud rimelig hurtigt. Derfor tænder og slukker jeg for varme en del mere, end hvad der er anbefalet. Her kan Tado nok spare mig nogle penge.
      For de fleste vil jeg dog alligevel tro, at der er en lille besparelse at hente.
      Du kan sagtens nøjes med kun ventilen (Tado X), så længe at du har en Thread border router - Google Home 2, HomePod, SmartThings V3 Hub, Homey Pro osv.

    Odd to have the room temperature sensor running triple A batteries but rechargeable battery pack for TRVs. Surely rechargeable temperature sensor could have a long run time with a rechargeable battery also?

      @PositronMedium  26 дней назад

      @@Davidb67 Haven't thought of the temperature sensor not having rechargeable batteries. I guess you could use recargeable AA batteries for the sensor. Rechargeable AA and AAA batteries usually has a lower voltage than regular batteries, which the sensor might run on just fine but the TRVs wouldn't.

    Thanks for the review! I really like this product and I think I will buy it. I don't like the fact that some convenient functions are under subscription despite the fact that there is an investment of 400 € to put everything into operation.
    Would you recommend it even without buying a thermostat? Do you think the built-in sensor is reliable despite being attached to the radiator? I don't want to buy a thermostat for every room.

    • @PositronMedium
      @PositronMedium  Месяц назад +1

      @@RaYm4n3 I don't plan on using external temperature sensors for every room. The temperature reading from the thermostats themselves will be off since - as you mention - they are right next to the radiator. However, you can offset the temperature reading inside of the Tado app, which helps a bit.
      To be honest I don't care if I set the temperature to 21C and the thermostat heats the room to 22C or 24C, as long as it's within reasonable margins I am more than satisfied.

    Hej! Tak for anmeldelsen :) Så vidt jeg kan læse mig til, kræver det stadig en Tado hub for fuld funktionalitet, selv om de understøtter Matter over Thread. Tager jeg fejl? Jeg har nemlig allerede nogle Google-enheder, som skulle fungere som en Thread hub.

    • @PositronMedium
      @PositronMedium  Месяц назад

      @@smukkemller1428 Det er rigtigt, at du mister visse funktioner. Mulighed for at koble en termostat og en temperatursensor sammen, mulighed for at detektere åbne vinduer, og muligheden for at sætte et temperatur offset er funktioner du mister - simpelthen fordi det ikke er muligt med Matter.
      Hvis alt du vil er at styre termostaten med telefonen og stemmen, samt lave automationer som hæver eller sænker temperaturen, så er Tado bridge ikke nødvendig 🙂
