    I used to suffer from extreme anxiety to where I could barely sleep for weeks. I started to practice gratitude and it helped tremendously. It opened up my heart to where the Holy Spirit could show me the roots of my anxiety and deal with it.

    Expressing gratitude to God, the source of all good - intentionally as the very first thing I do when I wake up, during the day, and as last thing in the evening, REALLY changed my life too, around 4 years ago - till this day. Great video! Important topic.

    My biggest takeaway from this video is what you said about gratitude being a habit. I don’t want to be in the habit of grumbling. I feel like the more you grumble the worse it gets until you’re a bitter old person. I will practice the habit of gratitude.
    Thanks

    I like what you said practicing gratitude until it becomes a habit. I've just started doing a gratitude meditation by Jack Kornfield, and I have seen the results already. The moment I start ruminating and going back to the past, I switch to being grateful. It is calming, and people around you pick up the energy very quickly. It feels amazing already.

    Thank you so much for sharing this! Gratitude is truly a gift, and it always inspires me to hear how it has changed hearts and touched other people. I love how you talk about it being an 'instinct' especially in quiet, beautiful moments, and how it truly is a habit.

    Gavin, I really appreciated this video. I know I don’t practice gratitude enough and your practical suggestion about doing this while exercising or driving was so helpful. Been trying to make that a habit while riding or running since I watched this video about 3 weeks ago. This is such an important word and the practical suggestions of how to do this that you provided are invaluable. Thanks.

    This is so needed and helpful. Thank you for your ministry. And I love this little corner of your channel.
    I was surprised to hear your endorsement of the Enneagram. Would you be interested in doing a thorough investigation of its origins, controversies surrounding it, why it is embraced by Christians even though one of its originators (or developers?) confessed to have received it (or some parts of it) through automatic writing?
    I confess that it has worried me. I’m also attracted to it for obvious reasons. It has been a divisive issue in some churches to the point that some members have left over it. I would be grateful if you ever find the time or interest to share more about it. Thank you.

    Hi Gavin, just found your channel and am getting so much out of your videos. You mentioned that you are an Enneagram 4 (me too!) - any chance you'd be willing to make a video on this and how the ennegram has informed your spiritual life?

    • @TruthUnites
      @TruthUnites  3 года назад +2

      interesting idea! Glad you are enjoying the videos. I'm not sure I know enough about the enneagram for that - I should have my wife do it lol! Will do this if I can ever learn enough about it.

      @@TruthUnites I would be interested in your perspective as well. More from the other side. It seems like there are some pretty polarizing views on how it is either great, or extremely dangerous for Christians.
