I like how you setup the camera it’s a nice perspective. Is that fan noise from the laptop or cooling pad? Also where did you get the cooling pad? I will stop with the questions now 😊
Thank you I used to do both camera and screen recorded gameplay on the laptop. But since I moved I lost any place to really put my laptop on the capture PC. So now the capture PC basically is just used to get screen recorded from my Handhelds.
So I decided to just set it up from my point of view so people could get an idea of what it would be like to game on.
Most of the noises coming from the cooling pad. But the laptop is pretty loud itself too. But nowhere near on the level of the cooling pad.
I got the cooling pad off Amazon it's a little pricey but it's one of of not the best cooling pad along with the GT500. But here's a link www.amazon.com/llano-External-Computer-15-6-21in-Adjustable/dp/B0CMTCB8Q6/ref=asc_df_B0CMTCB8Q6/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=693595680696&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11657798489813609848&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9016912&hvtargid=pla-2275540626208&psc=1&mcid=47213eda576d3cdcb40a6943c9f89e9d&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3ZayBhDRARIsAPWzx8pOVhpz_wpuCNJs4kGrUcnMTBjAcmMRVhXkpfEQ2P98GfzJimM3LxkaAn1YEALw_wcB
90+ degree celsius is crazy
it seems bad but most high-end laptops have super high temps. My Alienware m18 has a 16core 32 thread CPU and sometimes it sits at 100c. So far this thing has been great even with other high temps. Still going strong after almost 3 years now even after all the things I have done to it and how many times I have opened it up the thing still keeps going like the Energizer Bunny.
@@XxViciousxX Are you sure you are using the current temp and not the max temp to show in afterburner ? Cuz is not so common for temperature to be stuck even when you have one of the best laptop coolers. Also on Hwinfo there is a Clock next to the settings gear with that you can reset the readings.
@@c4nchi I do use the current temp it will change but most of the time when playing games it's at 96-97c.
But if I play an easy to run game. It will hang out in the 80s.
Honestly this is why I'm not a fan of laptops for gaming at all. Components are put on high stress and the cooling is just very bad, despite being this loud and at maximum output. You're basically at the mercy of the thermal throttling of your components each time you game, and depending on it constantly will reduce the lifespan of these overpriced laptops. Otherwise good video!
Yep only reason I got this originally was to play games at friends houses or on trips.
Also when I bought it you couldn't get a decent PC for 1600 with mining prices best PC I could make had a 1660 super.
But I agree if you don't need portability you should go for a desktop much better and more upgradable.
Just get a pc problem solved much better.
Oh for sure I have 4 of those. Funny enough when I purchased this laptop originally the best PC you could build for 1600.00 only had a 1660 super in it. It was from the mining days.
But now we are back to unless you really need the portability then absolutely go with a PC. No reason to have to deal with a laptop if you don't have to.
This cooling pad did doing a good job or not deserve the amount paid?
It helps out a lot. Even more on a laptop that hasn't been messed with by me. I had this thing open so many times.
