It still looks like a 2 seater but by putting the original seat back in it's enough room for people but it makes a perfect spot for FINA to sit or lay !!!
Hey Chad and Jolene, Thanks for talking about Brent over at Halfass Kustoms. He's like the only other automotive guy I watch here on youtube. All three of you feel like friends, so I was pretty bummed for him when his shop burned down.
feel for him,my whole town burnt down in the 2018 paradise campfire. my neighbor alone lost 7 vintage cars, the town was full of 60's n 70's cars.
@@sprintcarsandguitars959 so sorry for the losses that you and your town had, when I saw Brents video on the aftermath I felt sick to my stomach and now hearing of your ordeal I again feel sick, so much love and hard work from so many fine people, gone, but it takes the community to rebuild and move forward. Good luck to you and may you have good fortune.
@@CSmith-oz4wp thank you so much,we rebuilt and starting to live life again. the town is looking so much better too,not many trees left but we have are beautiful lakes!
Chad's absolutely right about keeping busy , it does your mental health the world of good 👍
I can atest to that. I retired in 2021 and couldnt do it. I went back to my old job a year later. Needed to keep busy.
I thought when I retired, I would have all sorts of free time. I was wrong. Now it’s like there’s never enough time to do everything.
Ray,
I loved my work but I don’t miss all the responsibilities. But I do miss all the men that worked for me, and I worked with. Social contact is very healthy for your mind and general well-being.
Thankyou for your reply. After working for 48 years give or take. I felt as if i lost my sense of purpose.
Back seat is for Fina, you go Fina. You have the whole seat for yourself.
As far keeping the back seat well Fina has to have a place to sit!
Thanks for mentioning Halfass, great guy that lives 10 miles from me. Yes not a great time for him. Great work Chad.
Finas seat. She has to be part of the ride people’s. SMH
The back seat is for FINA. Nuff Said.
The rear seat will be great for Fina ! Shout out to Jolene and Doug.
Getting the body ready. Chad is a master at smoothing the metal. Jolene is great on the camera every day. Doug is doing a great job too.
If he was a master metal worker, it wouldn't need an inch of fiberglass on top of it .
@@jeffheaps4416 come dump on my work too, goofy🤣🤣
Youse guys rock don't worry about what others think Chad's creativity is inspiring
I have tried to figure out why I, a 62 year old man who knows nothing about customizing old cars, am so fascinated with your channel and videos. I have come to the conclusion that it is you, Chad. I can relate to your morals & values, and your humble way of looking at life. I love witnessing how you enjoy life in all its fullness just as much as I try to.
Im 72 and feel the same way. What i get out of it also is enthusiasm and hints to tackle all my household jobs.
Same here. Also, the quality of Jolene's filming draws you in.
He's always positive and in a good mood that's why it makes me so mad when people talk ugly to or about them.
Same. l am not a car guy either, but l am starting to see the light. l watch Chad and l think that he is a great teacher. I am now a good sheet metal welder because Chad provided that education to me. Didn't understand it prior to watching this channel. l watched this channel during Covid lockdowns in Australia and it really gave me a lift. The mental health sponsor is a good fit for Chad and Joelene.
CHAD I HAVE A MENTAL ISSUE AN FROM VIETNAM AND I USE YOUR INTERTANMENT TO HELP ME IT KEEPS MY THOUGHTS GOING IN A GOOD WAY I LIKE CREATING THINGS ALSO WITH MY HANDS AND WHEN I GET BOARD I RIDE MY BOBBER WHICH I BUIL SO LONG STORY SHORT I THANK YOU AND JOELYN FOR THE DAILY CLASSES
NO, NO, NO "FRAM FILTERS".......worst filter to use as far as im concerned, Purilator filters are far more superior.....friend just a had a fram filter come apart and got sucked into the motor and destroyed it.😮😮😮😮
Oh no, it destroyed the filter?
Chad do not use a Fram Oil Filter, I know you've used them all your life, their very popular down east. They've done extensive tests on a multiply oil filter products and Frame is absolutely one of the worst oil filters made, the quality of these filters is very poor. If you don't believe me you can find channels who have done these tests and they have all said the same thing!
It's a good thing you got Doug to help you out one less thing you have to figure out. This could be a project that could drag on for a long time.
@jim collins you wouldn't even have taken on the challenge of doing what he's done to it!
Like the back seat being utilized. Fina has a seat! 🐕 👍
yes thats what its for so she can go for a ride as well bless her
Glad to see the alteration to make the REAR Window larger, more in harmony with the body lines. .
It was heart braking to see Brents video .
The metal genius at work.
@@jimcollins3411 yea and you're an expert of drinking bud lights
Man...I love the T Bird..
And, that high build polyester featherfill is good chit, used it on many vettes, way back in the day. One other thing,
The last new car l got was a black on black'13 GT mustang, it was a 4 seater. But you could barely get back there to clean the windows. Lol. But throw a blanket back there in your bird for fina on sunday cruises, it will be perfect. BTW, the back seat looks great.
You guys rock. Thanx again.
✌️❤️😊
I said it once, I'll say it again...
The back window & porthole are Perfectly aligned.
Good to see you and Jolene with some help. Hope Doug stays around and works out .
Yes, it’s very time consuming and that’s why I always say some of the viewers who want you to stay working on the Bugatti would get awful bored of watching basically very very little getting done each day because like you said, this is the stuff that takes so so much time !!!
Hi Chad, Jolene, Doug, and Fina I hope everyone is doing well! Before I forget would it not be worth checking the price for a replacement fan clutch? I know that Chad is all about saving money where possible and there is certainly nothing wrong with that however, if the the fan clutch replacement was reasonable for a Jaguar it might save quite a bit of time over eliminating it. Now addressing the 2 seater statement, people can really be ridiculous when they are not even talking about there own project and I think you would find that alot of them do not even have their own project. Why would you spend days welding some sort of platform or something to fill the space back there when the back seat still fits in and it is perfect for Fina! Even the car companies choose to use a rear seat to fill the space. The back seat in Camaros is basically unuseable except for a baby or a pet and I am guessing the Mustang is the same way! Hats off to Doug too, he is doing a great job piecing everything together out of the piles. Jolene is the mastermind behind the scenes making things so successful with her & Chads skills. You guys are all awesome and do great work!
They just want attention and be assholes! That's it!
Wow chad, things are moveing right along on the t-brid,,,looking great so far,I like all your doing to it,,the beguttie is looking great too,I’m happy you have Doug helping out with you guys,,it’s relly nice to hear Jolene’s voice now an then now days,,hi to fina also,,luv ya’s,👍👍😀
Great shout-out by C., to Halfass Kustoms in MB., well said...enjoying the channel.
Very good video..
Good advice on the mental health...I know sometimes I struggle with my anxiety..it does help to stay focused ...I work in my shop...try to keep busy but sometimes it creeps in....new shop looks good with the decor....living the dream my friends...cya tomorrow ....got a good friend in Doug 😊
❤
The new shop is looking good. It seems like Doug and Chad have worked together for a long time. Excellent. Ontario fan
Great message today. I need that service and a project to work on. Great program.
Projects and hobbies are definite plus no doubt.
Doug's talent compliments your own, Chad.
Doug seems like a natural working with Chad.
Agreed! Gets stuff done on his own without needing to be babysat and also willing to lend a hand when asked. I’ve been in impressed so far :)
I agree also Tuck.
In fact, he almost seemed a little bit perturbed when Chad walks around asking silly questions.
Doug has mechanical experience and skills that Chad now has an opportunity to pick up on. Makes the videos more interesting and entertaining from this ol'fart's point of view..
Keep Doug as much as you can Chad,Great addition to your team
I am so glad that you changed your mind on the back window. I love your vision on this car. I always hated the roof on these years of the T-bird. This is going to look excellent.
"Sometimes common sense is not all that common!" I love it!!
❤
Back windows looks fantastic.
Looking awesome Chad and Jolene. Love a bit of body work alright .
That was nice of you guys to give Brent a shout out. He is going to need our help and support. RL.
the thunderbird is looking good Chad and Jolene Doug is doing great work thank you for the tour on the Bugatti I want to say Hello to Fina I used to work at a Fina gas Station
I learned two things today Mr Chad I’ve been using lacker thinner primer ( high fill) for years. From now on polyester primer for me . And heat gun sanding pad remover .
You and Jolene and Doug are doing a great job on the car 👍
Glad to see Doug there helping you out with the mechanical stuff. I hope he’s not intimidated by your work ethic. Careful you don’t burn him out.
You’re doing a great job on the T-bird! Jolene’s Bugatti is coming out Awesome! It’s Cool that Doug is helping out, awesome TV watching! I like how you’re decorating the new shop! 🔥🚗&🚚🤴🏻💯
Canadian you tubers are some of the best craftsmen. Everyone from the Great White North eh that I follow has given Halfass Customs a Shout out Heartbreaking, A sprinkler system of some sort might save some things, My family member had his entire collection burnt to the ground, sprinklers save lives PSA. if you are building a new shop don't ignore it, My two cents. love the Bird!
Yes I ❤ the man with the raccoons 😊 🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝❤
*from NS 😊
Common Sense is Not That Common. Love it I'm gonna take it and use it Chad. Very profound..!!
Everyone needs a Doug & Aden and Joleyn! You’re a lucky fella! Good help is sometimes hard to find!
So what if they thought it was going to be a two seater. Plans are subject to change without pre disclosure. In other words it's none of their business.
Were they calling a two-seater a car with a front and back seat?
I guess that sort of makes sense
Jolene it was nice to see you at the beginning even if it was just afew seconds. Chad you are a very lucky man and I salute you. I. Look forward everyday to watch you and see what you are going todo next. Just want to say God bless to you 3 and I hope to see the car under paint and running soon. God bless and have a blessed day and evening
If this cars a sqawking.....Don't come gawking! Awesome work
Doug is quite the jewel. Take care of him. Guys like that don't come along very often.
😉👍👍
wear masks
It’s pretty amazing. They can’t figure that out on their own.
I suppose bank, robbers don’t think they will get caught either.
I know they can be a pain in the neck
Your back window looks 100% better.
There is a go fund me to help out Half-ass Custom
Best video yet , working on projects really helps me . I love you attitude Bad Chad !!!
The t-bird is coming along well, and I am loving the regular updates on the Bugatti!
She is beautiful. Out and in.
There is hope.
You may not like the noise you will end up with when you lock that clutch fan with a bracket. Did it once with a clutch fan on a olds. Man it sounded like a loud tornado.
Chad I got an Idea that will work on your Bugatti oil line, drill and weld both tubes, a loop copper line rounded 2, or 3 times as long as you can fit it, will help with the cooling of the oil. Greetings from California.
Jolene always looks amazing and doing a great job on the camera ❤
Great job Chaddy. Your spot on in saying to keep busy to avoid mental issues as I have fallen into that trap. Thanks Jolene.
I really enjoy how you do the different content that you don't see here on Facebook keep on keeping on car is looking fantastic.
I was gutted when I heard last week that Brent's workshop burnt down, so glad the dogs weren't in there at the time, He's a super nice guy, I've spoken to him a few times and he's been super helpful. He's not asking for finances to rebuild as he's insured but hoping that viewers will stick with him in these difficult times and support his channel regardless of the amount of content he is able to post at this point in time.
It’s great to have a good team to work with, Doug and Jolene are awesome. Chad you do great work and you are a very good teacher. Please use PPE, really want to continue to learn from you for a long time. If we make it around the sun more than 72 time we did good.
Excellent betterhelp message J., well done! Thanks, enjoying the channel.
There's always something different going on around Chad's & Jolene shops but I still keep my eye on the corvette that car is sweet.
Very nice progress and that video work, I know, is very challenging to make it seem so fluid. Walking around all the obstacles... nice job! The big shop displays are very cool too!
Should get her some help so maybe she can help you more with what you are doing she is very good at it
Your wall looks amazing, shows your decorating skills, everything in 3's. Art goes along ways.....or the artistic eye . My customers love to give me a artistic eye license aka, do what you want. ❤❤
❤
The bird is looking great. Chad is a master. The camera work is superb
Very true Chad that is very good advice. Mental awareness is something. I think everyone has to deal with at some time in the life I love your show. I love what you and the Queen do 😊
Hey Chad. I got people trolling you on MY channel. Can ya send me some more?? Love you, man!😊😊
Chad, I appreciate all you do. Growing up in the northeast of the US, I'm very aware of the body work and the time it takes.. In the early 70s, people would have to do body work. Personally, i sucked at it because i didn't have a good eye!!
Yes, terrible fire that happened to Brent at Halfass. He lost so much!
Jolene, on behalf of myself and the 10K plus subs over at Jim's channel would you help Jim get his Adsense account set up so he can start making some $$$ from his channel. Many have asked Jim if he is making money on his channel and it is not clear if he is or not. By my shoot from the hip guess he should be pulling in at least $400-500 per month. He may need some guidance on how to set the monetization and how to allow ads on his vids. He is uploading a lot of vids and doing such good work on the Olds he should be rewarded for his efforts. Thank you so much.
I have him all set up earning money with adsense! He’s a one man, car building, video recording, money making machine 😊💸🏆
@@BadChad That is such good news!!! He was just saying on a recent vid how much he had to spend on a part for his Ferrari and it go me to thinking about his monetization situation. WooHoo! thank you Jolene and Chad awesome! Words aren't enough, fantastic.
@Bad Chad
Thank you Jolene. Hard-working, good girl.
❤
Whoever told you that about the clutch fan is absolutely wrong it will spin free until the motor gets warmed up once it's over temp it gets stiff not until I'm an old mechanic trust me
Sounds like old bed springs!
Bugatti is looking good!
You got the '58 T' Bird looking good.
The shop looks awesome. I’m acquiring one on my new property. Can’t wait to fix it up.
Very nice build. Not trying to pick holes but with so much custom work being done on that back window I swear that little coupe is just screaming for a breezway rear window from a 1963-1968 full-size Mercurys, including some Park Lanes, Montclairs, and Montereys or 1958-1960 Continental Mark III, IV, & V. Just my thoughts. It will still look good with a fixed window. another thought was a power window out of a station wagon but I don't think you have the room.
Doug has his stuff together...... good job Doug
The wall looks great it would make you get up in the morning and come to the workshop
This one is super cool…really like it, and the way, throughout your endeavor, in which you include and, promote your community
The noise from the springs and dry bushings would drive me nuts. No wonder Doug wants to put the shocks back on. Lol. 🤪
I just like how he explains what he is doing and why? It's amazing how one man can have so many different skills to utilize, but do these different skill sets so well.
Hiltz House really looking like a team. Fabrication, fixing and filming.
Now the long job of making the body perfect
Thanks for the update for the Bugatti Thanks Joelien and Chad cheers.
I think awesome content would be getting the Bugatti, the mercury and this bird completely done and driving .
Like the larger rear window, rear view mirror now can reflect the road behind the car rather than the trunk lid. I trick i use to get the right length of belts is to cut an old electrical extension cord the length i need then i put i piece of shrink sleeve over the ends to join them together. Take it to my local NAPA shop and the the right belt every time.
Super good looking windows you and Jolene put in the roof ! Hey there Doug ! Ocaens and seas they all got bottoms making sure that you put enough product on ! Chad told ,me that so I guess I'm listening ! Thumbs-up Jolene and Chad great build !
You should be able to replace the clutch on the fan. If you make the fan solid you will probably be able to hear it Whirring at higher Rpms. Plus, it will wear water pumps out quicker and decrease fuel mileage. I've been there, done that, and have the T-Shirt for it. Figured i 'd let you know. Keep up the fantastic work Y'all.
The clutch in the fan only engages when the engine is hot. When cold it should spin freely.
Re the oil cooler delete issue, would it not just be easier to install a smaller oil cooler with neater stainless feed lines, than try and deal with blanking off the feed and return ports?
In my experience an oil cooler helps manage running temps, it's there for a reason, it doesn't really need to be in the frontal air flow, it just needs to be situated somewhere air moves and the heat from the engine oil can be disappated outside the engine.
As a side note-
I'll bet that's the same engine that's in the Daimler DS420 limousine I drive, it's the jag xk4.2L straight 6?
Looking good the car is saykng thank you for working on it keep the content comming love it
The Bagatti is coming out really nice it's all those small details that count and to make it run. It's a good thing y'all are taking your time and doing it right. You don't want to take the whole car apart to fix it. Maybe a electric fan, not shire if y'all want to go that route. Yeah to build a really nice car it takes time. I know you started this car year's ago, but how many car's you built since then many many.
The body style is way cool.
If the body is in good shape and sound, then I think it deserves a decent chassis and running gear.
If it’s not going to be driven, then I guess it doesn’t really matter. I think it would make a fun daily driver. If it’s fairly comfortable to drive. Jolene is too young to remember what it was like to drive a 60s car. Well, it wasn’t all that much fun. They didn’t stop well, they didn’t handle well, they were unreliable, The leaded gas fumes were deadly, they were noisy, and, well, you get the idea. On the other hand, the factory hot rods were about the most legal fun you could have in the 60s.
@@i8ntnuts a 60s Cadillac is loud? I guess you think a singer sewing machine is loud! Smh
Great video thank you.
The cars that are hand built costs more because of the details and no blue prints in your head her car is not like the others may look the same but built your own way takes time plus you have a lot going on at all times
👍Doug you a a credit and a great help to Chad and Jolene. One day I may be passing have a chance to drop by for a visit. My son live In Quebec City.
You guys are great for my mental health because you are both very focused. Thanks ❤

Put your mask on chad listen to the boss
You never know when it’s too late, but it’s still better late than never.
Nice job can't wait to see what happens.
