This video is somehow exactly what I needed to hear. I didn’t realize until you said it that the parental critics are still in the back of my head; and that I’m an adult and don’t need to live from that perspective anymore. It also really resonated when you said that art is a spiritual experience, and that we don’t have to explain the process. Ive actually been in a different phase the past couple months where I was unsure of my art and decided to explore all the different paths I’m interested in by researching and trying small things. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing 🩶

Your comment gave me goosepumps. Ugh, yes. Yes to everything. I'm so glad it resonated with you. Those critics are so difficult -- therapy has been such a blessing in my creative process.

@@lovevioletgaze thank you!! I came up with it when I was a teenager and it really stuck ever since. It’s become sort of an enigma for me now, I love it 🧚🏻‍♂️

I just did a Job after school that should make good money. I got sick after a couple of months because i hated it. 6 years. Now with 30 i feel like i have lost my track completely and have no Chance anymore to become an artist. Because i also never learned Art.

It's NEVER too late to start. What art have you always wanted to do? If you have a consistently-paying job, I say, if you have the funds to start a training program in that, go for it (or maybe save up for a few months for it). If not, finding work that's consistent would be my priority. I've found that if I'm stuck thinking about money all day, I don't have the attention I need to make my art -- and money does provide the freedom to do what you love.
