Thank you so much for this... I'm grateful that my jobs are mostly in my field (pottery) but really wanting to do more of my work and less for others...it doesn't leave me as much time and energy as I'd like to do my own creating. Happy I found this today!🥰💟✨🌱

Ohhhh, I feel that sooo hard! What a joy it must be to be surrounded by the art -- one step closer to be doing *exactly* what you love. We believe in you.

You saying “maybe you’re a bartender” felt like you’re speaking to me! I am a bartender!! And I’m trying to make an artistic career work for me. I’ve just began to shift my perspective, it’s easy to be exhausted all of the time, but I try really hard to take care of myself in order to spend my mornings creating best I can. Thank you for inspiring me and talking about how to do this and why it’s important. I have a long way to go, but all that matters is to continue on. ❤️ much love and appreciation to you!

OMG! I love that you felt heard by that! I wanted to remember that there are also people working in-person who I respect the HELL out of. The fact that you know you can balance your energy and still create? Iconic.
I have a long way to go, too. Figured I'd capture it so others knew how much I'm figuring out too. 🤪 So grateful for you being here. Thank you, truly.

Thanks for making this! I’ve been thinking a lot about my art and how scared I am to create- what if no one sees my videos? What if no one reads my novel? What if no one sees my art? So many fears that I have to fight just by starting!

It is SO SCARY, right?! The one thing guaranteed is that nobody will see it if we never take action. But honestly, every single step you take makes it a little less scary. That's definitely how I've felt with both RUclips and songwriting. Still feeling cringes and growths, but just know that I need to keep going in order to get better (as cliche as it sounds). Good luck to you, I know you can push through it and keep going.

It's always the best feeling to hear someone say something and feel like they're a similar brain as yours. I love that for you and I'm so so grateful you're here. Thank YOU.

Very encouraging video! I always find it hard to carve out the time - something I need to work on. :)

Same! That's where I find body-doubling, creating constraints via time, gamification, etc. really help. It think that's one of the hardest parts starting a small business -- having to hold ourselves accountable when nobody else is (at first).

I have all of the fears and the problem is even after watching your video, i don't really see how i can solve my problems. Like i am stuck in my fears for a lot of years by now.

Having a really great therapist has helped me a lot. Learning the tools to manage my feelings inside and outside of my art has been so invaluable.
I also have a lot of daily rituals and tools that I use to get myself out of my head, i.e., movement, exercise, eating well, red light therapy, hot yoga, acupressure, massages, etc. Not to say you might not already do all of this too - just sharing my experience. 💕
So sorry you're experiencing fears. I hope you can find that light for yourself to know how much you're capable of.

there's totally a way! I taught myself digital marketing during 2020 and was able to get out of working being a substitute teacher. RUclips University is your friend! :P

OMG i'm so sorry. that must be so exhausting. I started on Upwork freelancing doing digital marketing (for me, it was social media management, blog writing, etc.) and started with realllyyy low pay just to get some good reviews. Then once i got a few 5-star ratings, I raised my rates a little more, got some more work, raised my rates a little more, got some more work, etc.
You're not the first one whose told me this so maybe I should make a video on it!
