  • I have been living in Big Cottonwood Canyon for over ten years and skiing here for more than 15. Brighton Resort is one of my favorite places to ski because it still has that intimate mountain feel and the terrain is incredible. Especially, if you like to jump off little cliffs, find pow stashes and enjoy a nice well groomed park.
In this video I am guiding you to one of my favorite places to ski on a pow day at Brighton, Rock Gardens. You take the Milly Express up, it's on the right side of the parking lot by itself. Get off the chair to the left and go through the first set of gates, you will need to have a beacon, probe and shovel with you. I opted to take a few extra boot pack steps up to get some fresh snow then I skied, skiers right to another gate that led me to a fun trail through the woods and ultimately ending up on top of some pretty fun cliffs, chutes and lines.
Please, attempt this run with a friend for the first time and don't be afraid to hike back up and find an easier way down if you get cliffed out.
    Enjoy, Brighton!!
