HI Janey. I just want to let you know you have quickly become one of my favorite garden channels. While Garden Answer is best known, Its beyond what most can acheive. I have a gorgeous garden on a half acre so I love seeing realistic scale gardens. As well your constant drive when there is so much to do is motivating and inspiring. ❤
Agree. Agree, agree, agree. I’m in a suburb on a standard size lot so Janie’s content is exactly what I need. My flower game is non-existent, but I’ve learned so much from her the past few years I’m finally ready to recharge my own gardens and give it a go.

It's good that you don't take yourself too seriously or get bugged down by your appearance. But many many times, I start your videos and can't help but think, "she is SO pretty!" You do a great job.
I’m with you Jani, I love RUclips and sharing gardening with others. I started it because I have a business that I love where I take care of others gardens. Hence the name “ RB the Garden Nanny.” I became a master gardener so I could perfect the craft (even though nothings perfect). I must say editing to me is the best part of doing RUclips. (and yes I use my IPhone X 💜 it and I don’t use a wireless mic). There is so much creativity in editing (the music, the speed and slow down, the text and transitions). I love editing. I think the big part is being yourself. Don’t try to do your videos like anyone else’s. People come and stay for your unique vibe. Last part is the community. I love the friends that I have made. You are right the gardening community is the “BEST.” My “for real” family and friends are not into gardening but this community “gets me and my obsession.” I love your videos btw and how relatable you are. Thanks for sharing.

Everyone starts out small. I like to go back and watch some of Lauras first videos to see how far shes come. You are a natural in front of the camera and a joy to watch. Laura gardens in the same zone as me so her videos are more appropriate. Yours are mostly for fun for me. Oh and i found you bc of Robbie! ❤
This was such an interesting video. I knew it took a lot of work but this was so enlightening.
Something I wanted to share was how much I love your sign off. I thought it was a nice sentiment and then when you were down and out and Jason did a tour video, I lost it when he said, "I hope you get a chance to get in your garden today." It so brought the sentiment home for some reason. The shirt I ordered came with the card that has your sign off on it and it is displayed on my refrigerator at eye level to remind me how it makes me feel "to get in my garden!"

Hi Janey I think this is the best video you have made. As a garden content creator I really appreciated this. I usually do 5 videos a week once Spring hits and work full time besides youtube and the challenges are real. I can totally relate to what you use for equipment I was the same way I got the go pro and end up using my phone most of the time cause it is convent when I am on the go creating videos. Thank you for doing this it helps me to know I am on the right track!❤️

Janey- you have no idea how much I needed to see this video today! I started my RUclips channel last spring and I’m still struggling to get subscribers and views. I’ve been so down about it, I’ve been thinking about throwing in the towel on this whole RUclips thing. But you reminded me the real reason I started sharing my garden in the first place. Which was to help teach people what I know about plants and share my love and enthusiasm for my yard. Thank you for reminding me what is actually important, in this whole journey of content creation. I only hope I can be half a successful as you have been. Thanks for continuing to inspire me.

I just started using the DJI mike. You can also plug it into your phone directly and have the audio automatically sink into your videos.

Janey I agree with you on the passion. At first I started RUclips I did it because I do love gardening, however I felt God was the one that wanted me to share it with others. I was so uncomfortable in the front of the camera. I knew exactly what I wanted to say until I turned on the camera. So, after a year and a half know much more comfortable in front of camera and can be my true self. Sometimes my followers, subscribes get to see more of who I am that family. If that makes any sense. I am so impressed with your growth in subscribers, Hope to me right behind you.

Thanks Janey, for this interesting and motivating video. I have never seen any other vloggers make a video like this. I have been making videos about gardening for a couple of months, mainly so my husband and I can look back and see the changes in our garden as we re-landscape it.🌴 Actually putting these videos on RUclips seems quite daunting as there is so much to know. I used to use iMovie years ago for family videos but it has probably changed since then. You have helped so much with all of the information that you have shared, especially the audio issues. Really interesting video Janey, even though I never intend to be a RUclipsr! You have a such an easy way of teaching as you speak, I enjoy your videos immensely. I agree with other commenters that you have become my favourite RUclipsr; I will always love Laura and family, however your zone is so much closer to my own in Australia, and your presentation, personality, drive, family, dreams, and joie de vivre are a lovely to watch develop. A keeper video. Several tubers charge for access to the behind the scenes tech info as one of their products. Hope you can partner with a couple of the portable hard drive or other tech companies and do more of these in the future.
