Love the freaking arrow and time in the corner. Helps keep in mind the progress between hands and helps people watching keep in mind what a realistic session actually feels like. Its not just hours of back to back wins/losses! This is a great idea and I bet more vloggers do something similar because its just awesome info, fun, and helps the viewer follow along and engage even more. 👍 Thanks for the awesome content! Keep up the hard work!

    1. The energy at the Wynn was glorious. Honestly, it felt way better than the WSOP.
    2. 3:30 I love how you give this "balance" argument with the KQ top pair, but then say, "Throw the balance noise out the window and bet what is very likely the best hand." Yeah, that.

I eat at the table a lot, so I'm used to taking a good look at the table before I act. I'll even ask the dealer if I'm unsure about the action. Keep up the grind, can't wait for you to make the final table in a big tourny.

You dont have to not eat at the table during a tourney anymore... just get in the habit of doing a full table scan to double check who is in the hand. Guarantee this moment will echo in your mind to help you do just that when it comes up again.

  • @WeissAdvice

Correct me if I'm wrong here - but - on the AJ hand, while typically sizing down multiway is good, because the board is so connected with two broadways and two diamonds, shouldn't we be sizing up a bit? Seems like we're just in a really good place to get called by worse Ax, Jx, and flush draws.

For several reasons I never eat at the table. If in a cash game I always have the server put it on the rail or at an empty table. Most games are slow enough that a full table I can be back long before two missed blinds.
If a tourney I eat before, and if I run deep enough, only on breaks.
I hate slowing games down and also hate food on cards so I know I will be overly conscious if eating at the table and play too quickly and spend way too much time cleaning my hands (my fingers not the cards!)..so I simply don't eat at the tables

  • @pokerstiff

You can eat at the table. Just get in the habit of not turning over your cards until after the flop at the earliest. That is a guarantee the action is closed. But you don’t need my advice. You know what you are doing (mostly 😜) and are way better at the game than I am.

  • @ronlamaster9301

We have all made mistakes like yours at the table. Unfortunately for me, the floor determined that my AK was dead! 😤 The person who had just called and not then moved all in and took a good portion of my stack, just like you!

  • @dalekerr5091

You definitely deserved a penalty for exposing your hand. Too often TDs try to guess intent rather than merely rule on whether action has been influenced. But Sam Soverel was npt given a penalty when 3-handed in a SHR, so I never expect TDs to do their job with competence. With regards to eating, only eat once you have folded your hand. When the next hand is dealt, stop eating, pay attention to the game, play your hand, rinse, repeat.

This is why it pains me when I see people insta flip their cards when they think it's showdown. Rampage and Mariano do it all the time. Sure, 999 times out of 1,000 it's no problem, but the 1 time you accidentally flip your cards too early can be a big spot. I know in tournaments you have to show your cards when all-in, but take a second or 2 and make sure it's actually time to flip it over.

  • @Hammer.J.Helmer

I think you're way overthinking your competition at this tournament, with moves like checking the turn on the king. Just bet for value and keep stacking the chips in the middle to take them. Only pot control if you're worried about 2 pair hands like K-10.

So from then on, i wait until the dealer asked me to turn over my cards.. period... been there done that, damn, that smarts... waiting for Your next Day 1, which hopefully turns into day 2... then.. final table.. .😁

In Columbus Ohio at Hollywood Casino they banned eating in the poker room and used Covid as an excuse to make this rule! I really think that it is stupid to eat at the tables anyways! Why? You touch your food and touch dirty chips and cards? So nasty! You live in Las Vegas, but you didn't eat at home? I'm so surprised that as long as you have been playing poker that this huge mistake hasn't happened to you or your boyfriend before? You simply got careless because you were winning and broke your concentration, and the vultures took it all away!

I'm a firm believer that eating at the table should be banned. It's disgusting; especially finger foods. There's still a pandemic going on and it's flu season. It also slows play down. If I had $5 for every time I've seen someone who was eating, not paying attention, and holding the game up, I'd be able to buy into the WPT Championship event. I can understand why rooms want to allow it in cash games to keep tables full; but in tournaments there's no reason for it.
