He actually did it according to Tyvek standards.
The flex wrap does need to fold down onto face of wall over house wrap at window sill minimum 2” which it looks like he did but just wanted to make that clear.

Very interesting detail. Should we cover the entire sill plate with membrane? I assume the sill was sloped by your framer to provide drainage. Should we shim the window.

Rich thanks for your comment. Covering the entire sill is considered a best practice but in low rise construction as long as the FlexWrap extends at least 1” past the window to ensure the backdam can be executed on top of the FlexWrap is acceptable and extends 2-3” on the wall over the Tyvek. Sloping the sill is always a best practice and highly recommended. And so is shimming but also should refer to window manufacturer’s guidelines on shimming and keep in mind how shimming could affect the installation of a sealant or foam backdam.

What's the difference in Dupont Flashing Tape and Dupont Straightflash? I have seen the straightflash used more often but both are by Dupont. Also, why did you not put a drip cap above the window?

Jonathan, thanks for your comment. For this installation video StraightFlash was used but DuPont Flashing Tape is acceptable. The difference is Flashing Tape is a more economical approach and you will see it in much residential building; but unlike StraightFlash it doesn't offer a DuPont™ Tyvek® top-sheet for maximum performance.
As for the drip cap above the window, DuPont has installation guidelines that will address options on how to integrate drip caps as it's best practice--but for this installation video they went without.
