ok serious question, as someone who wants to go there in the fall- are you able to leave campus without a license or is it more of a city? how far is the beach?
yes you can leave campus easily ! the beach is about 20 minutes away from campus. there are public transit options as well to get around san diego from campus

i love it here! social scene is great and active and there's many different outlets to explore in terms of clubs & communities
